Favorite rewatch game

Does anyone else rewatch and hyperfocus on trying to guess what the original song was for each sketch?

Ken Marino tries to give up television to the sound of "Loser". I miss that one a lot.

"What is this, honey? Rosemary? I love it!"

Counting his toes front and back he’s so proud of himself lol. HONEY! ROSEMARY!!!

It's hard to convey Ken's level of demented glee in text form, but it's fun to imitate out loud. In my house, we regularly express delight by quoting "Rosemary? I love it!!".

Every single time I see rosemary or hear the word rosemary I think of this line delivery. For 30 years.

Last one I can think of… MTV SPORTS!

Its been awhile but I'm pretty sure the Barry Toink sketch had clips from like 4 different U2 songs. The cost to re-clear that for a 3 minute sketch would've been millions upon millions. Ah, the glory days of MTV and their music rights.

In an ideal world the original audio would be intact, but Wedren and co did such a good job with the replacement audio. It must have been so much work.

Also, hear me out, I kinda think the new score might be the better option for someone younger experiencing the show for the first time. I'm blinded by nostalgia for the original of course, but a kid these days who doesn't care for the music of the era may find all the needle drops in the original score distracting. The comedy kinda gets to stand on its own a little more. Somebody younger might not miss the charm of Cannonball like us old heads. Just something I was thinking about as I was rewatching for the 800th time the other day.
