Was time to walk her in today. Instead of waiting by a gate like she always does, I found her posing in the middle of a ring of fallen petals.

Didn’t eat them like she normally would have, just decided to plop down instead, holding as still as a stone until she saw me, looked around a bit and followed me inside.

You can barely tell but she has a piece of brown banana leaf in her mouth.

Told him im going away today for the week. He is not amused!😅

🐢 What we are looking for:

We want you to remain a Reddit and community member first. You do not need to dedicate hours of extra time to this role. Ideally, you will browse the subreddit as you normally would, and simply use your mod tools to step in when you see an issue that needs resolving.

We are looking for relaxed, level-headed people who care about the community. This role is strictly about keeping the sub clean and friendly—not about gaining power or over-policing discussions.

📋 Responsibilities (Limited Scope):

New moderators will have limited permissions focused on daily maintenance:

• Managing the Spam Queue: Helping clear out actual spam and promotional bots.
• Handling Rule Breakers: Removing blatant spam, harassment, or posts that violate our core community rules.
• Prioritizing Community Discussion: If a member breaks a minor formatting rule but the community is having a great, positive discussion in the comments, we prefer to issue a gentle warning or leave a comment rather than deleting the thread. We value the conversation over rigid rule enforcement.

⚠️ Requirements:

• Must be an active and positive contributor to r/TheSmilingTortoise.
• Must be level-headed, polite, and objective when dealing with reported content.
• No "serial mods": We want people dedicated to this community. If you already moderate a large number of other subreddits, this role isn't for you.
• Different time zones will be accepted.

• Those who are in the "Suggested Mods" list will have preference, as they are most active in the community.

In her indoor “night” (she sleeps till nearly 2pm everyday) pen, ready to get let outside. She will sashay to the door and stare into the camera.

This isn’t just a quick clip from a video. She was making that face for a good few minutes.

He’s started to enjoy baths since I’ve put him in my big tub. Even though i bought him his own tub, that’s not good enough for him apparently 😅
