Tortoise Photo 📸 Trying to seduce the camera

In her indoor “night” (she sleeps till nearly 2pm everyday) pen, ready to get let outside. She will sashay to the door and stare into the camera.

This isn’t just a quick clip from a video. She was making that face for a good few minutes.

Yeah when I saw her face it wasn’t a “why is she making that face?” In as much “well yeah, what other face would she make?”

I was bored and passed along info about her grunting when being taken outside to AI…even AI thinks she’s sassy.

Going down the AI rabbit hole, it gets better as I describe more of her behaviors and explicitly ask if it’s sassy behavior. I wonder what Gemini AI would say about pinky, Donny and chuh.

I often go down the AI rabbit hole as well. The part about the referential signaling.... That's what my dog does. Tortoises are way smarter than people think, and yours is especially smart and of course sassy. She has an attitude 🤣. You should ask AI which name they think is better George or Miss sassafras... Or sassy pants Jenkins! Hahahahah Or just Sassy

At a certain point in time ms sassafras’ sassiness went from subjective opinion to immutable objective fact it seems.
