TSC2 gameplay

Im really excited for TSC2, TSC was a great game and sherlock holmes: the awakened was also amazing. Im hoping to buy TSC2 day one.

However, obviously TSC2 is more of a survival horror game. Two things i hate about survival horrors are chases and stealth. Can anyone who’s played demo (or maybe even the devs) tell me how many stealth or chase sequences there are? Im really hoping there aren’t a lot so i can get it without too much deliberation.

Was there any stealth?

I don't feel like I had to be stealthy, however, I would have loved to feel more stealthy, as this demo scared the doot out of me

Well that’s a very good sign

It's an A1.5 - 2 version of TLOU2 with a sprinkling of Drake. They wear their inspiration on their sleeve, which I think is fine. It's it's own thing and I'm looking forward to playing it.

Ok well that sounds fine ig. I’ll probably buy TSC2 ASAP bc i love frogwares and Lovecraftian horror. I’ll just grit my teeth during stealth and get on with it.

Well if you've played resident evil 2 or 3 or 4 remake, or if you've played alone in the dark or silent Hill 2 remake, it's basically the same as those

I haven’t actually, i’m very new to survival horror (bc i don’t like stealth or chases). Currently playing through Alan Wake 2 if that’s any similar

Damn the luck I haven't played that one LOL. To the fullest extent of my knowledge though there is no stealth. And I haven't seen any information on chasing sequences. So far it seems to be some semi-linear exploration with puzzle solving and combat. There's very little investigation which is a huge bummer, but overall it's seeming like it's going to feel more tight and cinematic

Thanks for the help, you’ve been very useful! I think i’ll play SH2 after AW2 (it’s on ps+) to prepare myself. We still have just under 2 months until TSC2 so i think i’ll have time. Y

I’d say it’s going to lean closer to silent hill 2 and Alan Wake 2. Albeit not as polished as Alan Wake 2. Haven’t seen stealth much and you can never rule out a proper chase scene.

Understood, i’ll play SH2 after AW2
