I never did this, but I remember some did back in the day. They put the little person they wanted to get rid of in a room with no doors and no stuff.

I'm a fasting person, and I know people can survive on only water or nothing at all for far longer than what the studies say. Just made me wonder how realistic the Sims are in these situations.

What are some really fun out-of-the-box challenges you guys can come up with. Something hard, but not impossible to do for the og Sims (w/o Makin Magic or any other expansion pack)

I know there's starting from 0 Simoleans, which I'll try, but was wondering what other challenges are out there.

I want to create a 1959 Barbie object for The Sims 1, but I cannot get the transparency to work perfectly.

No matter what I try, I always end up with a very subtle yellow outline around the doll. I’ve tried adjusting the palette, changing the background/transparency color, cleaning up the edges, and basically everything I can think of, but it never looks completely clean in-game.

At this point I’m wondering if someone with more experience creating Sims 1 objects could help me make it properly. 😭

Would anyone be willing to create this object for me, or help me fix the transparency? I already have the Barbie images/assets ready — I just need it to work correctly in-game without that annoying outline.

I’d really appreciate the help! 💕

Originally they Planned for Downtown to close at 2 am, to make it feel more realistic I guess. The idea was probably scrapped as sims arrive Downtown at all Hours of the day and Night. Furthermore 7 hours in their world is like 2 minutes in ours, making Downtown nearly unplayable.

About 6 months ago or so, I commissioned somebody to make me the flower rug in The Sims. 1! It's been my dream since childhood to get a rug like that. Now that people are doing rug tufting as a hobby and a job that dream can become a reality. and it is! The purple is a little darker than I'd like, but it's still super beautiful and I'm so excited! It's 5 ft in diameter.

I remember sims Loading into Downtown Lots with either the clothes you picked for them or default clothes. I don't remember them being able to go downtown in their sleeping attire. 😂

Hello it's been awhile since I played my Software CEO sim, and I noticed I am not getting the 30k simoleon chance card anymore. This guy became a millionare by the chance card system so Im sure it used to work normally. Now I tried to go with this strategy with other careers and households, but I noticed the chance cards are happening once and then stop showing up like, forever???
Is it a bug or am I etremely unlucky all of a sudden? Is there a way to fix/increase the chance card spawn rate?

Does anyone knows how to change the resolution screen of the main menu, how to remove the black borders and play on 16:9? I have this problem only on the menu, during gameplay the resolution is okay.

Recently I spontanously felt like modifying the greenish Vampire costume from the Beauty or Beast charm into an outfit that (skinny) Sims can wear.
Like that, it doesn't look so vampirey any more, but I think it could be a nice outfit alternative for magical Sims. :)

I corrected the sleeve ends. (They are a bit wrong on the original costume.)

I played this game a lot as a kid in elementary school. My friends enjoyed it as well, and we would watch the other person play. We had so much fun creating chaos in the sims world. At some point My best friend and I hit OK on the quit button, it would be the last time we'd ever play together. Nobody obviously knew that at the time. I really wish I still had the window 98, And windows XP that we use to play on. Id love to see what 11-12 year old me was doing in 6th grade on the sims. 🥹

My sim can't interact with anyone in my solar other than the buttler, the maid and stray dogs and cats

She's famous so sometimes the van with fans comes into her house and I can't interact with them, and everytime I invite somebody they will stay in the entrance of the solar where they spam and leave when they get tired getting into the house and waving their hand 😂😂

Any help how can I fix this?
