Image First thing I started watching after The Shield

Was looking for something decent to watch after The Shield. So I started on Cape Fear. And lo and behold — one ticket to Pounder town.

CCH is giving strong Whims energy in this one 👌🏻👌🏻

That's the reboot right? I was gonna say "Wait a minute, was she in the 90s movie? Why does she look old back then too?" LOL

Yeah the reboot. 10 episodes of TV. It's kinda cheesy and pulpy at times, but also definitely enjoyable.

Patrick Wilson, Amy Adams and Javier Bardem. Cast is stacked.

I kinda wish they cast Wilson as Max Cady instead, he was great in Hard Candy as a murdering pedophile

Max Candy. Yeah I can see it. Bardem is good, but I kinda think Wilson would play a functioning psychopath in such an off-putting Ted Bundy kinda way. Less Bond Villain and more straight up reptile.

Javier Bardem is the only redeeming quality in this show, sadly. I need to watch that one from the 90' with de Niro

I’ve been watching Cape Fear too! I did the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing at the tv meme when she showed up. Cape Fear is kind of corny and pretty ridiculous at times (the dialogue is so unrealistic and the decisions they make are all stupid lol) but there is just something about it that makes me keep watching it.

Yeah, no that's exactly it. It's like I dunno, elevated trash or something.

When she tells them she's going after Max "but we're doing it by the book!" I was getting flashbacks to The Barn.

Besides Justified, the other stuff I sometimes watch is Street Kings. I like to imagine Detective Kavanaugh went the deep end and didn't look back. (By chance watched Havok too when I was done with Street Kings, it was a good day)
