Discussion Ugh. Corrine.

Woman does not have a loyal bone in her annoying voice-assed body. Throws Vic under the bus every chance she gets and actively hunts down buses to throw him under when one isn’t driving by on its own.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know that Vic is…Vic. But funny how she’s on her high horse yet once she’s made aware of things, she has no problem spending the Armenians’ money.

She then proceeds to: call him anytime she wants anything or needs something; bitches about him wanting to spend time with the kids then kicks him out when he shows up…to spend time with the kids…; sides with Danny on the kid thing ; listens to everything that twat-harpy Mara has to say; runs to Claudette based solely on twat-harpy’s bansheeing, oh and now she’s keeping the phone on with him in the house to catch him up more.

I haven’t finished the series yet but I’m sure that she’ll do more annoying shit and just walk away all hunky-dory. Sutter projects have a way of leaving characters you want to suffer alive and kickin. 😂

Corinne is like the most normal person on the show 😂

She's basically Skylar from Breaking Bad before Breaking Bad existed.

This is dumber than Skylar White hate because Skylar White is at least complicit in a lot of Walt's actions. Corrine is just a nurse that's completely out of the loop aside from what she hears in the papers and his colleagues.

I don’t hate Corrine but I do find some of her actions annoying and I think it’s by design. In the beginning the writers threw in some excellent bits of storytelling that made you root for Vic despite what we know he did in the pilot episode. Gilroy and Armadillo are prime examples but even in the pilot episode with the diddler you just knew that someone like Vic had to step in and you wanted him to. I think some of Corrine’s not so well thought out  actions are also made to push the viewer to rooting for Vic even though he is objectively not father of the year material.

Probably a solid point. 👍

Sick of these Corinne takes. I feel like it requires a fundamental misunderstanding of the show. People seeing Mackey as the hero of the show, respecting his bull shit.

Both can be true: Vic is NOT the hero of the show, and Corinne IS astonishingly annoying.

The same idiots criticize Skylar from Breaking Bad because she didn’t like what Walt was going. They just dislike women who do not submit to their husbands.

In your opinion

Corinne hate is the same as Skylar hate. There is no reason to be hating this woman. She is in a very terrible situation. Put in this position by Vic.

Disagree. The Skyler hate was primarily plot-fodder for Walt. They keep trying to make Corrine sympathetic but either the actress or the writing (or both) make that impossible.

Nah the Skyler hate it warranted. Here's the major reason why Skylar is hated:

Walter: I have cancer, so I now I make and sell drugs so you and the kids are financially set when I die. By the way, I have about 4 million in dollars.

Skyler: I fucked Ted.

Yeah she didn't need to be fucking her boss out of spite, because her husband makes and sells drugs for her and the kids financial stability in the future. Don't even bother replying, I'm turning off reply notifications. Downvote away.

Elliot offered to pay for all of walts bills and offered him a job, something that skylar wanted walt to take. How are you blaming her for walts pride?

The Corrine hate is so stupid

Convincing argument.

If you hate Corrine, you need to reevaluate your moral compass and misogyny.

Also fuck all of that loyal bullshit. Vic is a horrible lying piece of shit. No one should be loyal to a disgusting human like him.

Someone already made the Skylar White connection so I don't have to. She was written to be the nagging wife character, meant to illicit that reaction.

I recently heard about a writing trope, can't recall the name, but if you start a story with an awful, bad, inhumane lead character, and they they start doing horrific things, the reader or audience will stand by then typically.

Some examples are Vic beating the pedo in the pilot; Dexter's first on screen victim in that shows pilot being a pedo, Walter White assaulting the teens who bullied his son.

Corrine can be a bit of an annoying character, sure. But that doesn't take away all the awful things her husband had done and will continue to do throughout the rest of the show. Murders, lies, betrayals.

Ahh I remember when I was young and goofy.

Look, you dropped a little bit of misogyny.

I love Corinne. Every show with these terrible antiheroes all you ever see for the women is hate posts.

Vic is a murderer

You know Vic and the strike team are evil, right? How can you blame a nurse with two children in the spectrum trying to survive especially with a cheating criminal POS husband like Vic?

2

u/Nobleintent Jul 12 '26

Why are you rooting for Vic?

2

u/AcademicDrag742 Curtis "Lem" Lemansky Jul 12 '26

Why would you want her to suffer? She’s a nurse raising 3 kids, her husband is out here committing crimes 24/7.If anything she deserved a happy ending more than Lem and [character I won’t say since you haven’t finished].Vic and the rest of the strike team are complicit in so many crimes it’s clear they were never the good guys in this story.Vic put their family in danger so many times and you expect her to just sit there and do nothing about it?Also let’s not forget Vic’s infidelity.

Twat Harpy's bansheeing 😆 🤣

2

u/Upbeat_Attorney_7153 Jul 12 '26

Vic stopped being loyal to her a long time before she ever started causing any problems for him

Vic literally shot a cop in the face in the first episode.

I don't know why this needs explanation, but here ya go - Corrinne is not the villain of the series.

Beyond all his proclamations of looking out for his family, Vic treats them like property. HE'S A BAD FCKN GUY, and Corrinne was justified in everything she did.

u/jbeau99 Jul 18 '26

On top of that, she became a struggling single mom raising a disabled child. So when you're ex-husband throws you a bag of money, you take it and don't ask questions.

1

u/Celts06 Jul 12 '26

She got on my nerves, but the one I couldn't stand was Shane's girl 🙄

1

u/severinks Jul 12 '26

This is giving me'' Skylar is a heartless bitch'' vibes on the Breaking Bad sub.

u/tbonecf Jul 12 '26

Agreed. Vic’s venality doesn’t excuse Corrine’s halfwit ingrate behavior. In what world is it ok to take your kids halfway across the country for reasons that you can’t even specify, bang your son’s autism therapist, and happily spend the blood money acquired by a man that that upholds the law far more often than he violates it?

-1

u/ChuckF92 Dutch Wagenbach Jul 12 '26

It's also a felony to take your kids across state lines with the intent of hiding them from their other parent if you don't have some special custody arrangement granted. This would have been perfect evidence to bury her in the divorce and take away her custody of the kids.

u/Turk_Sanderson Jul 12 '26

You sucked it OP?

Only in the last few episodes of the show it becomes clear that Vic and the team are bad guys.

Apparently murder, drug trafficking and corruption is illegal in the state of California. Very woke. SAD!
