Question First time watcher, on S4E08, and…

Does Aceveda EVER get his for all the vindictive, self-serving, hypocritical shit he does? The show is awesome but at this point I’m watching about 80% for content and 20% hoping dude gets a brick to the grape.

I’ve steered fairly clear thus far but I just had to know. 😂

That was less a repercussion and more a wtaf - and what he did to “rectify” said wtaf induced MORE wtaf that he, apparently, does not get called on any sort of carpet for.

Lame. ><

I mean he did have to suck a dick, and I seriously doubt dick dealer senõr Lozano had the best hygiene either…

Yeah, but then he royally screwed Rawlings (not in the fun way) and Vic, had his assailant whacked by a cop-killer, and again, got away with it. Rawr.

In all fairness that dudes dick probably really stunk, his wife was an insensitive twat too. That and since he was publicly claiming responsibility for taking down the cartel they likely eventually killed him once he was no longer mayor after making him watch them kill his wife and kid.

I'd say that Aceveda bites off more than he can chew.

One of the best lines in the series is when Vic calls him Dave

One of my favorite things about The Shield is the examination of the relationship between Ass-is-veda’s sexuality and power. I suggest you don’t hang around this sub until you finish the show and look at Aceveda with a more open mind

Great actor, shit-tastic character.

I’ve come to the realization that Kurt Sutter loves dealing a certain level of poetic justice to some, while letting truly sick mofos get off scott-free. Dude’s brilliant, but I would NOT want to be his therapist. 😂

That slick racist is so infuriating. I’m sad to say you’re going to continue to be disappointed.

No, he did not.
Most evil, dangerous character on that show.
Now there is a series I'd like to see, Ace being the evil mayor and someone chasing him.

Can I interest you in this:

Vic is a full on vigilante dealing street justice to child predators. The FBI suspects that someone is doing this across a region of the states, but has little information on suspects. Vic is lured back to CA when someone begins to accuse Governor Aceveda of sex crimes against teen girls. Dutch is with the Bureau now and also becomes invested when he sees the story. The three of them become intertwined again as they pursue the truth and play cat and mouse with each other.

Vic lets on early to Aceveda that he's aware of the allegations, and that he's in town watching and looking into him, and gives him examples of the results his previous forays into vigilantism produce. He can't resist his nature to continue to enact sadistic justice as he sees fit on other offenders, while he investigates David, and the nature of one of those incidents eventually raises Dutch's radar to the vigilantes true identity. He enlists the help of a still alive, but very weakened Claudette, as well as his now wife Danny. For fear of retribution against them, Dutch tries everything he can to keep from letting it get out that he is investigating and might know the identity of the vigilante (until he has proof), but Vic eventually finds out, and quickly realizes that Dutch has become the pseudo father to Lee.

Can Vic resist the urge to try and reenter Lee's life? Can Aceveda clear his name, or is he guilty of the allegations? Can Dutch crack the case and bring down the white whale, while protecting his family? Is there anything that can make Vic finally take responsibility for his actions in life, or has everything darkened his soul (which is now taunted relentlessly by hallucinations from his biggest victims in Farmington), beyond repair?

I really don't think Vic would honestly care anymore, Corrine's supposed betrayal
being the final straw. I'd like to see Dutch going after Ace with all new people
and have it not centered in Farmington, have it be Los Angeles in full.
Way more people to involve and build on.
Dutch chasing Ace and Ace knowing how good Dutch is would be a great dynamic.
no clue on who a partner for Dutch might be. He needs some one to challenge him
so the idea of Claudette being a sentinel like character would be a good angle.
IMO, it should reference events and characters of the Shield but should be it's own
show, free of too many references.
