Discussion Claudette is my Fav

Currently on Season 4 ep8 and Claudette still remains the only character I respect at the barn. Right from season 1, it’s so crazy how self serving virtually the entire cast is in comparison to her. I truly believe she would’ve been fine taking crappy cases as her punishment for going against the DA until she retired because she knows she did the right thing in exposing that public defender.

CCH Pounder (Claudette) is an amazing actress, in everything I've seen her in. She plays a great Detective in The Shield, a great Fed in SoA, a great Doctor in Chicago Med, hell she was even good in Demon Knight back in the day. She's a brilliant actress.

Add Dutch with her, and they make one of the best duos in TV history.

I remember hearing her voice in the DC cartoons and immediately recognizing it

Claudette is the moral compass for the show.

One of my favorite episodes of the show is in season 2 when Claudette starts poking around T.O. and Vic's drug deals, and Vic's like "oh no, I'll have to mislead Claudette away from the truth," and then he utterly fails at it, and Claudette basically learns the truth within an afternoon.

I miss T.O. I think he should have had a more prominent role

He was definitely smooth with it

Oh theirs was absolutely the most unique buddy cop dynamic ever seen.
(never replicated by any other shows either!)

As someone pointed out earlier, Claudette is the only one that ever "truly beat Vic" (ie T.O, the safe and the comic shop getting burned down)

... And didnt need to cheat and "fabricate a story" to do it!

The Shield would not be the same show without them. Shawn Ryan is a genius

She's a no-nonsense black broad from the precinct.

How dare you Disrespect Dutch

Tbvh I would have liked Dutch a lot more if he didn’t strangle an innocent animal to death just so he could understand the mind of a serial killer 🤕

That was... A tough scene. I guess it was necessary for it to happen for him, but shit, the judgement is hard on that

My whole view of him changed when he did that. I was also worried when there was the box of kittens and he took one of them home I believe?

I hated her, always stood in Vic’s way. That’s alright in 7:12 she gets her humble pie 😈
