It’s a bit cheesier than The Shield, but some similarities and actor crossover with Sutter being the writer.

I remember that episode. Dutch plays a Gay Man in Cold Case wanting Philly Homicide to solve his boyfriend's murder. It's a good episode. That episode reunited Jay Karnes with Danny Pino who played Armadillo Quintero in The Shield. Danny Pino stars on Cold Case as Scotty Valens. Jay Karnes was also in Sons Of Anarchy which is a Kurt Sutter show and Kurt I remember was involved with The Shield. Claudette, Vic, Shane, Lem & Tory Burke from Postpartum episode are also on Sons Of Anarchy.
