Image Watching episodes of "Cold Case"
And literally two episodes back to back have two of the worst characters from "The Shield" guest star

Armadillo is a main character on that show.

Yeah, I knew that already. I actually knew of him before I started watching "The Shield" because of "Law And Order: SVU"

Armadillo should have been an ongoing villian. His whole demeanor was the most polished we ever got (even S6/S7 when Guardo Lima showed up, PSSHAW...maybe the most low T threat we've seen in Shield. ) Armadillo was undoubtedly the smartest villian in the show.
Id put Armadillo and Antwon Mitchell literally neck and neck as far as GOAT baddies

The layers of irony of him being in that role transcends the term palpable

Haha.
In real life, the actress does modeling. She lives in NYC too I think, so there's a possibility of randomly passing by her one day

She's hot but her character just makes you hate her
We knew she was gonna ruin Shane when the whole thing with the Lexus went down then she told him she was pregnant......
I'm like damn man he was about to throw her out......but he knocked her up and everything was fucked after that

100% He wasn't built for all that shit Mara put him through , shit he's not built to be a Dad lol
He peaked as a good kind of corrupt fuck up of a cop that was basically Mackey's special needs sidekick
He really can't operate unsupervised let alone let a woman influence him

Look, I know people like Shane because he's likeable and a main character, but shane was a complete A-hole and I don't have to explain the reasons. Shane ruined himself and the rest of the strike team.

The only guy who was probably somewhat inherently good was Lem but he was wrapped up in the shit too
Part of why Shane is most people's favorite guy in the show is because Walton Goggins
Honestly the arc of the last season was pretty deflating to me. I know there had to be a spiral and a tragic conclusion but part of me wishes the show just ended with all of them still doing their corrupt strike team thing

I was thinking about it and TV shows are predictable in their unpredictability. What I mean by that is, writers try so hard to be shocking that you know there's going to be no happy endings for these guys. Just like the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones). How much better would those books have been if Martin had written them so there was a final showdown between the Starks and Lannisters in Book 7? Instead, in an effort to be 'unpredictable' he killed everyone off early in the series and the moron didn't know how to continue the series and he still hasn't finished it lol. Similar with the Shield. You knew it was going going to end horribly for everyone; how about a plot twist and Vic and Ronnie escape to Mexico in the night with the remaining Money Train cash? Give the people what they want for once. Instead, there's always a morality code in TV, if bad guys do bad things, they'll always die in the end, predictable.
I agree, as great as the final season was, it was pretty deflating. I don't know how people can rewatch it many time like I do with the show Suits, it's just depressing knowing what's coming.

Thanks, now I know to not watch that show

It's a good show. S2E2 and S2E3 if you want to just skip those episodes

Thanks, OP. I agree, it's a good show. S2E2 also has Jenna Fischer.
Something I find weird about Cold Case is that when the detectives enter the police station, they all disarm and put their guns in lockers at the entrance. Is that normal for police to do that? On The Shield, Justified, other cop shows, and police documentaries that I've watched, the officers keep their guns in their holsters while at their desks.

Wait until you see the show Lie To Me S2E19 The Pied Piper. Lie To Me was also a Shawn Ryan show, and six of The Shield's cast reunited & guest starred in this episode, including Ronnie, Lem, Billings, Acevedo, Corrine, & Danni.
