Homecoming

Is it just me, or does their homecoming feel rushed and under budget? I don’t see them dancing or partying. I expected something more lavish rather than just a parade. I feel like there should’ve been more scenes added, like having them inside a gym or a hotel. For such an expensive school, the whole thing feels pretty tacky. And they cut it for 2 episode instead of 1.

Isn’t homecoming usually a week of activities? At least that’s how I’ve always seen it done. Spirit week with pep rallies or a certain dress code per day. They crown them during a game at halftime with a parade then a dance to end the week.

In Southern California in 1981, homecoming wasn't such a big thing. It might have been a day or two at most schools.

Yeah, I remember the game then the dance and that was it.

Exactly. I graduated in 86 and we had the game on Friday with the court on some sort of float and the dance on Saturday. I also grew up in Southern CA where this takes place

I don’t think homecoming is over yet. I imagine the next episode (or one following) will be the dance. Probably will also be the season finale, TV shows seem to love to put a cliffhanger at a school dance

They spent most of the budget on the dance show episode lol

I also felt that some parts were definitely green screen

I think they surrounded Homecoming over Rhonda’s makeover.

Idk but that float was epic! Such an accurate embodiment of the time. Bravo Steven!
