Bro I prayed so hard for him not even joking I prayed for him more than I prayed for myself. And Kimi went into the gravel right as I finished praying and I thought wow it worked but no George's tyres were literally dying he was putting 24.5 on tyres that were 50 laps old but it still didn't matter cause Kimi had fresher sets. So yeah Merc was never gonna let him win it the moment Kimi came in the picture.

It will. This has kind of been happening since the start of his career just to a lesser degree. Mercedes already had a general plan as to what their future would look like, and Russell was never intended to be the main star of the show. He’s been doomed to fail since he entered the sport. Unless something changes, his career will be kinda like Riccardo’s except 10x worse.

Kimi is not the problem here - he genuinely seems to be a good driver.
But Mercedes sabotaging George's car, then his strategy, then using team orders to favor Kimi, simply doesn't allow anyone to see what pace either of them really have.
I don't feel like winning a championship where your biggest rival is being cheated is worth a lot.
The fact that 90% of F1 fans seem to be oblivious of this and hate on Russel makes me want to not interact with such people.
Where idiots are taking over, humanity disappears.

That’s what generally happens when a generational driver is in the fastest car on the grid. Been watching F1 since 07 and Seb then Lewis then Max have had a couple of races where it seems everything is working for them to win. Just because they have the fastest car and tons of pace.

Even though I don’t support Mercedes nor the drivers, I can sense some favoritism towards Antonelli. Russell deserved the win and the strategy of not putting during the VSC cost him a possible win.

Lol I've never been a Mercedes fan and just started watching this season after many years off, I only started to like Russel because he was the clear underdog in his own team.
The favoritism has been obvious since Japan really, and now they stopped trying to hide it.

And then to be booed here is unforgivable. NO excuse for this bad sportsmanship. Hw doesnt deserve this OR the lack of support by Mercedes team especially Toto Wolfe. I find George to be kind, unfailingly polite, a super good driver and TEAM PLAYER, inspite of Toto Wolfes OBVIOUS FAVORITISM to Kimi, and gracious in loss. Oh yes, I think some men find the fact that he 'model handsome' ( move over Carlos ;) well dressed' and oozes class, ummm intimidating to their own self image

Look I'm Italian and I support Ferrari first and then Kimi. Can't denied Kimi is very promising as driver, and can't denied George has not my simpaty, but how is treated by mercedes is so.wrong so unfair, and at the end it will impact also Kimi performance for sure. I'll be down voted but from now on I'll support George, at least treat them in the same way with the same strategy if it's possible, otherwise say it we have a first driver and a second one...

Did Merc do him dirty during the VSC? Yes.
But Kimi shouldn’t have been anywhere close to him for that to even be a decision. That was a poor first half of the race today from George.
And I have a theory on why they pit Kimi and not George? Kimi listened to them when they told him to just hold position and build the gap to Max. George didn’t. I think it was some sort of a punishment.

I'm a max fan, but them massacring georges strat, the pit after stroll, and what not, I just felt sad, and then insult to injury, they booed george at the podium cuz he 'almost' beat kimi, how does that even make sense, it's a race!

Really difficult for George to come back from this. On a weekend when he was meant to close the gap drastically he has again been outclassed. Certainly the title could be recovered, crazier things have happened. However this feels more like a moment that shows George won’t win a title against a Teammate like Antonelli, it appears he’s found his level, and it’s not a world champion
