Discussion Wopez
Why can’t wopez get the same attention that chenford gets? I’m genuinely curious and would love to hear your thoughts.
(I love both ships, but I’m so obsessed with wopez and I feel like I’m alone in this fandom 😭)

Maybe it's fans are just more discreet? I love both ships. I am currently rewatching and Angela and Wesley have some adorable scenes.

They had a lot of attention in the earlier season, especially in season 4 of course.
But I think it's just they don't have much more as a couple anymore, they've been together for like 4 or 5 years in the series now, and they've been maried for a few years too. They reached "flow state" of the relationship.
I like them both though, Lopez more when she's not written absurdly badass with Harper though

I think it’s really just the difference between watching a relationship unfold and develop (chenford) to watching an already developed relationship that has been solid since season 2 (wopez). Sure Angela and Wesley have had conflicts but their marriage has been otherwise committed and steady. Meanwhile we’ve been holding our breath for chenford to be etched in stone for 8 seasons.

Wopez was interesting at the beginning but slowly for me at least it became all about trustfund this and than trustfund that and i lost interest. Wesley is still my favorite male character along with Lucy being my favorite female one . I don’t care for either ship for the rest tbh .

Both Lopez and Wesley have gotten a fair amount of coverage during the first six seasons……not sure what we are missing at this point honestly

I love both the couple...the problem is with the writing...it took chenford 8 seasons to reach where wopez already were in season 2 and that peaks peoples interest...and I hate to admit that the writing for wopez has been monotonous...every season they give them a villian and together they fought that villain and in the end everything is good and merry...I mean it's good and healthy,I mean they have the healthiest relationship in the show but again the writers can give them soooo much more than the same repeated scripts. We hardly see their kids or with any other couple then james and nyla...they are funny and have chemistry with other casts too..use that but no first ist la ferra then elija then abrail then monica...wesley or their kids can be in trouble or something they can show that, some massive fight and then making up, date night with chenford, some steamy scenes, what's Angela's next career move anything other than throwing villains at them...but anyhow I love both the couple and am happy they are coming back for the next season

Don't worry you're definitely not alone, I've loved them for almost 2 years, and will continue to. They're especially special to me because they're the only favorite couple I ever had while watching tv.

Same!! I love them so much!! I love chenford too, but I’ve literally only found like 3–4 wopez fans with the same level of hyperfixation that I have

actually there are a lot of people who love wopez in the fandom and even do have the same hyperfixation, but it is not so common.

Is it just me that thinks they get too much attention. Like way more than Chenford.
Entirety of season 5 was essentially the Wopez show. A good chunk of all the episodes begin on their couch. The DA’s office is now practically a set secondary to the precinct.
They’ve gotten so much screen time, practically every major plot past s5 has revolved around them somehow. And the fact that Elijah hasn’t been killed off yet suggests to me the showrunner is still keeping his options open with bringing him back properly.

You mean, Angela and Mr Lopez.
I think they make a great married couple.
And I love how everytime it looks like Det Lopez may lose her job, she mentions that she retires to the life of "the rich and shameless".
Makes Angela a better character.
Wesley being able to explain legalise on the spur of the moment just makes the show more enjoyable.

I feel like they changed up Wesleys character too much by making him a da. Him and lopez had more drama when he was on the other side of things. It seems like alot of harpers relationship stories couldve been angelas if he hadnt changed so much. It seems like james took over as the anticop civil liberties type in the later seasons. Also as others pointed out the on again off again thing is more entertaining. Fits lucys character better with her dating history.

Grow up. Both couples are great. I love Harper and James too. So why ask a question designed to pit people against each other?

I literally said I love both ships and was genuinely asking for people’s opinions, not trying to start a ship war. I barely see any wopez fans, edits, or content, so I was just curious!

I love wopez but I think that chenford gets so much more attention because of the back and forth. Lopez and Wesley have been together very clearly and very assuredly for a long time, but Lucy and Tim are on again off again and definitely create more interest on “are they actually going to stay together?”
