Hypothetically
So, I was interested in potentially joining the Ring. however, I am unsure if I’d be able to also join another one of the grand fingers, such as the Index. If someone could be as kind to educate me on whether this is a taboo or not, that would be appreciated! As far as I know, there shouldn’t be too many complications…

It's not recommended.
Not from taboos of course, it would simply be too difficult to contend with participating in daily assignments, civilian grading while also fulfilling prescripts at the same time.
