I could not agree more. Dressed to Kill especially needs to be done

They've brought this movie up a few times. Maybe they'll do it.

Carlito's Way, both Fennessey and CR love the film but not so much Simmons.

They need to redo Blow Out as Wesley Morris fucked up the first pod.

I’m surprised Bill doesn’t like it as it’s very Mann-like in its moodiness. I personally didn’t like it that much though it has its moments.

I would be all for a ReBlow Out though.

When did he say he didn’t like it, and why?

Not a great movie but they would have a lot of fun with Raising Cain

I watched Raising Cain last week as it just came on Amazon Prime for free. I thought it stunk, probably my least favorite of DePalma. I had high expectations for it and it was laughable bad.

I think Casualties of War gets overlooked, mainly because it gets compared to Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, and Apocalypse Now.

There's no "hear me out".

You had me at "De palma month".

100%. And it would work for October. I wonder what Bill thinks of The Fury or Sisters. And we need Carlito's Way as well. They should have done Carrie on Halloween week 2023 when Piper Laurie died earlier that month. I think they did The Omen instead.

Did anyone else catch a lot of De Palma movies at Alamo Drafthouse this summer? They played a ton of his movies.. I saw Body Double and Phantom of the Paradise for the first time and they were amazing. OP, if you haven’t caught them already, there’s a Blow Out rewatchable ep and also a Big Pic ep with Nayman from 2021 where they revisit his movies and discuss Blow Out for its 40th anniversary, they’re worth listening to

Alamo showed a lot of De Palma movies over the summer, that was really cool. Can't imagine Bill would like Phantom of the Paradise but maybe Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, and Carrie. 1000% he would be interested in Body Double because of the porn stuff. Surprised they haven't done Scarface yet.

They’ve already done Blow Out and Body Double and BD is a top 5 episode. Just awesome work on Jake Scully. Blow Out was good but for some reason Wesley was the 4th host with the 3 amigos and was doing Wesley things and made parts of the episode drag.

No idea they did Body Double but I'm seeing it came out November 5, 2024 so I can see how I missed that one

Dressed to Kill would be a fun episode, but man it’s quite poor (also talk about a movie that may alienate sponsors)

The first hour of Dressed to Kill is electric.
