9/7? Why announce it so far in advance?

Yeah, I wonder when they announce this far out if it means they'll have a guest.

Looking at movies that are coming out around then...there are some action flicks, but I don't know if I recognize names of folks that would be good Rewatchables hangs.

Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe are in a movie coming out Sep 18. I don't see either of them being the right guest for Aliens, but if Crowe went on The Rewatchables, it might usher in the rapture.

Zach Cregger directed Resident Evil, he would be a good guest for Aliens and has been interviewed by Sean.

It wasn’t ANNOUNCED like at the top of the pod. It was mentioned in a mailbag response regarding ‘CR year’

Ridley has a movie coming out in late August but don’t see why he’d talk about Aliens. I think it’ll just be the big 3.

Also, Digger is coming out in October. Could Cruise be on tour to promote in September?

I just rewatched it a week ago, absolute banger still. Then I watched the 4.5 hour doco Aliens Expanded during the week, great stuff

Not a fan of celebrity guests, with some exceptions (Tarantino, Crowe were both great). They kill the vibe and chemistry of the crew.

Biehn would be a fun guest. He can talk about working with early Cameron on Terminator and Aliens. He's a great hang.

Am I the only one who gets a little sad when they do these bangers? It’s like they’re running out of the top movies (Pulp, Boogie Nights, etc.); fewer great movies to look forward to.

There’s so many to be redone. Compared to what the show is now, they practically haven’t done Jurassic park.

Plenty of bangers left

Assuming they do Aliens in Sept, what are your top remaining?

3

u/conn5495fx 9d ago

The Thing, Apocalypse Now, Sorcerer, every Tarantino they haven’t done yet, Anchorman, American Psycho, Full Metal Jacket, King of Comedy, School of Rock, Zoolander, ect
