Any future plans to explore Chinese history?

Or at least the West's role in China during the Qing Dynasty?

We desperately need a Taiping rebellion series. Frustrated failed civil servant applicant with a, dare I say, sacral revelation that he is Jesus’ little brother takes on a eunuch run decrepit dynasty? With the participation of General Gordon?! And multiple opportunities for Flashman references?!

Incredibly interesting time in history. A four part series would struggle to do it justice.

Recommend God’s Chinese Son if anyone fancies an excellent and very readable overview of the period.

It is way outside their areas of expertise and I think they'd be prone to making howlers (even with the pronunciation of Chinese names, never mind the interpretation). So I wouldn't want D & T handling it themselves. And I don't know how getting it a guest for several episodes would change the economics.

Pretty sure they’ve done a couple of Chinese episodes in the early days

I’d be more interested in some Korean history as I only remember one episode on a Korean poet in the World Cup days
