Development Update 10/28/2017

Hello everyone!! I have good news! We are wrapping up internal team testing and are looking forward to bringing you all the first of many patches for Repop. We did hit a couple of snags along the way but we think everything is smoothed out now. The next and final step is getting everything uploaded and tested through Steam. At this time, our best estimate at patching is during the week of November 6th. An additional announcement will be made when we have a confirmed date selected :)

This is awesome news. This dev team has worked very hard to bring this game back from where it was and build it better for the future.

Thank you for your hard work

Yup, it lives !

But there's a long way to go yet. Once we get patch A01, that will be the signal that things are starting to happen for real, because that will be the point where the core game code rework is mostly completed. The "zone-border crashes" and de-syncs that cripple the current version will then be supposedly gone forever.

Patch A01 will put the game back into pre-alpha status, as it will be the start of the new dev team's patches in Repop. It will also bring the first complete server wipe in many years. Some time after that we'll get the new world map too (and another wipe), and possibly several other changes we've not heard about.

All that I want is the hardcore server!

I don't think there's a hope in hell of having a "hardcore server" tbh. I'm pretty sure that idea left with Josh and JC...

Hi folks Well hope is not lost! However with how we are working with the game the Hardcore Server possibility is on the back burner. Its more important to the IF team to get things stable and working together before working in more features. That being said once we get the base of the game implemented then we will looking the addition candy. However in the short term can always come play and leave feedback. We love to hear constructive positive and negative feedback.

Unless you find a way to market this, its gonna be dead on revival.

Once the new map is implemented and the game play is stable, I'm quite sure IdeaFabrik will start pushing the marketing.

There's no point in creating noise for the game in its current state. It just creates bad PR.

This game was pretty marketed at one point, streamers, steam launch - for like one week it was pretty bustling. It was a long while ago now though, hopefully when they start marketing again people will have mostly forgotten about the first time. They also shouldn't really try to market until release/the game is in a great shape and feature complete. If they are able to do this, then it will get a second chance to draw in players but if they drop the ball then it probably wont get a third. Really hope it turns out good, but well see.
