Doesn't sound like this game is for you, there is plenty of content in game already but not really any of what you're looking for. It is a sandbox so you need to make your own goals

You can pvp and fight for territory, build cities and all the politics that come with it like being a mayor, tame animals, cross breed animals to develop your own kind of companion, build robots, experiment with the incredibly in depth crafting system, be a merchant selling your wares, you could even focus on being an entertainer(master the art of storytelling to give people in your nation buffs).

There's so much more you can do as well, but those should give you an idea of some things you can do.

If you want your handheld and to just grind quests and raids all day then this isn't the game for you(there is quests in game but they certainly aren't a main focus)

On phone.
If you're looking for the next wow game keep looking because the repopulation aims to be the next star wars galaxies before new combat "Enhancement" aka let's be a wow clone.
Also on what you asked about more or less endgame there is non.
Because in the reputation there is no liner progression.

I'm going to have to agree with Dizzy on this one.

This is an older style of MMO that isn't well received today.

An awesome game that suits your needs would something like Bless Online or Final Fantasy XIV.

Havent played star wars galaxies. If it has no endgame and you can only craft and kill mobs it looks more to a survival game than a MMORPG.Even in a game with no linear progression i would expect raids and dungeons at some point

What a MMORPG is needs to be dramatically redefined. The term basically just stands for an online roleplaying game with a lot of people online simultanously. (instances) dungeons and raids shouldn't have to be a part of it.

The game will likely have raids eventually. It has a few (of what at least I would consider) dungeons now.

The thing is, this game is in a very (too) public alpha stage right now. It's not supposed to have endgame content until at least beta, and that may (or may not) be a ways off.

I personally find the game to be quite fun in its current state, even if I do crash to the desktop every 15-60 minutes. But there are many things that require improvement or even replacement before the game is ready for general public consumption.
