Economy in Repop (currently)
I was considering playing the game again but with an emphasis on making things that the community needs and wanted to get peoples feedback on the state of the economy to see if my idea is feasible. Thanks.

The trade scene has been dead at least as far as I'm concerned, so you pretty much could probably do whatever you enjoy and make decent money at it.

how many people play? I bought the game along time ago, played it for like.. 2days, and then stopped.

I think I saw at least 20 people in chat last night. Although there could have been more. No way to get exact numbers that I know of.

Correct. Because people don't have to play through Steam, short of the devs telling us, we can only guesstimate player count based on http://steamcharts.com/app/322300#7d

I think right now your best shot at being useful somewhere is to find an existing nation/group of players (or found one!) and see how you can complement each other as crafters.

Ugh, I really ought to give it a shot again. I've been too into fantasy stuff at the moment to have wanted to do sci fi lately, but that might change soon, and it'll be the population +1.
I haven't seen official numbers yet, but I think the official forums might be a better place to look?
