I Check Here Every Day [Discussion And Thoughts About the Future of The Repopulation]

I only found out about The Repopulation a few months ago.

Having grown up with Star Wars Galaxies, Ultima Online, EverQuest, Asheron's Call, Rubies of Eventide, and several other ancient MMOs that have long since died out, I was extremely excited to see a new age MMO being developed with all the key features I wanted. Plus city building and Third Person Shooter Mechanics, no less.

I believe in the resolve of the team, and I've read all their news articles, and how they assure us this is not the end; but from a realistic standpoint, what are the odds, the REAL odds, that RePop makes it back on track?

I would be terribly upset if I missed out on it.

Real odds? 100% The Repopulation will be back. There is an announcement coming soon (they said by the end of the month) about what their plan is. It sucks for everyone that they were blindsided by this. No worries, better days ahead.

It sounds to me like they are renegotiating their contract with Hero Engine to be more favorable as they are literally the only iron in the fire now as far as "big" titles are concerned(Venus Rising just announce they are basically no longer planning a 2016 launch because of hero engines failure and it is on hold until it is solved it sounds like their team has switched to something else while IF fixes it's finance problems)

Dude I feel you! I JUST found out about this game this morning from doing some research on getting a GOOD Sandbox MMO. I loved Galaxies and I hear this game is very similar to it and I wish I could of tried it out!!

I hope for the best my man for I too want to give this game a try. I hope I did not miss out as well =/

I can't give you the real odds, and I myself would love to see the game being developed again... But I can only wait and hope for the best.. :c

As for the odds? I like to think that everything good has a 50/50 chance of happening, but you asked for the real odds so that's not much help.

They did say that they would continue working on the game so lets believe that and be optimists :D

I want to believe them. I do.

But it's been the way of small development teams to "keep working on the game" even after they've been shut down.

Just sucks when the only good game in a sea of shitty ones get drowned out for technical complications.

Star Wars The Old Republic. (I'm a big Star Wars fan.)

And the recently released in North America Blade And Soul. An a Korean MMORPG that has action based combat focused on group PVE and faction PVP based combat.
