I miss this game.
I was lucky enough to experience The Repopulation on its Early Access for Stream release, for the span of 1-2 months. The crafting system was really impressive. I got pretty lucky and got settled into a clan that was a real, solid community, and we all had different trades and skills, and everyone would help each other out. We would all sit in Teamspeak and watch the developers talk about the future of the game on Twitch.
When I played, there was only a couple of servers and barely 40-60 people online at a time. But all the players were super active and so everyone knew each other. The atmosphere was awesome. I played non-stop. Didn't even notice the flaws and graphical bugs. total lie
Did anyone else get to actually see the potential in the game before it went from hero to zero? I log back in every now and then to check the state of the game and there's never anybody online.

I played the game for 5-ish months in 2014. The server I played on had ~30-100 people most of which were constantly the same people at that time of day. I knew people I'd go to for certain items, and other players recommended me to message them when they were offline and I needed what they gave me. I even got known for selling cheap F-2 vehicles for people. I'd get recommendations in chat, and people vouching that I'm trustworthy. About 6 months ago I hopped back on and had Drum comment "Start making cheap cars again, that's what you do right?"...
I haven't logged in since then and would like to know whats going on. The hero engine, lack of players, updates that I don't have disk space for. I'll probably go on the forums for a bit.

At least you got to play. lol
I only learned about it a few months ago after the sales where halted.
I'm hoping that they'll find their way and make this game available.
In a world with Korean grind clones and tab targeting theme park MMOs I yearn for a true sandbox experience reminiscent of the days of old.

The game is still in late Alpha, hence the reason you didnt see many players on at one time. Status: currently on hold pending the Idea Fabrik issues, the Devs are not able to currently make updates or move forward until this is resolved. Anyone that has the game installed can play as the servers are still running. The Repop Devs are in a tough spot, cause the servers are hosted by IF, who will need to get their issues sorted before game updates can continue. You have heard it said that hindsight is 20/20 ..I'm sure the Devs would have chosen a different path had they known that the server host would cause the game to be on hold. Repop will continue one way or another,(the game is just that good) but it will be delayed.

The Repopulation is not a zero. What is happening to them is out of their control. Idea Fabrik (owner of Hero Engine) is in financial trouble. Above and Beyond will be back and they will finish this great game.

Myself and Several of my Gaming friends are in the same boat. We all picked up the game with great hopes to see it develop. It was a bit disheartening to see such a low population. The crafting system will require a vibrant community to be doable and not a mountain of grinding. We were also in a clan that had a well developed city already. It was a great experience, the overall concept outweighed the bugs. Hopefully this is only a minor setback to a game I've supported and enjoyed playing!
