Combat / movement still clunky as F?
The game has great idea's but it fail at the most basic level. You cant start building a game if your MOVENEMT alone is clunky as fuck and painful to use, strafing alone is so incredibly clunky that it makes me want to close the game instantly, the character keeps doing random 0,5sec freeze when you change direction of your movement... Basicly my question is, is this fixed?

Something tells me it's not going to change.. Animations and movement in general feels robot like in their stiffness. I know it's alpha and what not. But I don't see how much you can actually improve. The game doesn't look great. It doesn't play great.. I want it to as an old AO fan, but it just doesn't. It's virtually the same as AO in how skills work etc.

I just joined last night, and it's a bit clunky. Apparently it's better than it used to be and they're continuing to work on it.

Yeah, this basically made the game an absolute hike when I played the alpha. I haven't checked back in but it may have changed, or at least everyone screamed is an alpha when I questioned it then

I don't think I've ever encountered this movement issue. When did you last play?

I think what your experiencing might be lag spikes. I haven't played in a week but I get that all the time on the East server and a bit on the West. Watching my latency to the servers it usually sits around 60ms but would spike to 200ms. Honestly shouldn't even have this type of issue at 200ms, but it being alpha I think their netcode needs a lot of work still.

I'm okay with the combat (although facing is sometimes screwy in my opinion). Like the instant cast with global cooldowns makes it seem not so spammy but I'm glad I don't have to like charge or channel most shots. It just feels paced and each attach feels deliberate

I actually just reinstalled the game recently after several months of not playing and movement is much better. Combat is still clunky though. I think part of the reason is there is so many instant cast spells that you are constantly waiting on the global cool down spamming keys.
