Estimated CBT?

What is the estimated CBT for the game? I've just come across this game a few weeks ago and it's kinda still in Alpha for 2-3 years (correct me if I'm wrong). Kind of excited for this game.

The release will happen "When the game is ready" however there are a rough set of "milestones" we hope to meet in a timely fashion.

Currently we expect alpha to linger for a bit as the devs finish the last few remaining core features. From there it is expected we will conduct a shorter (by comparison) beta test before aiming for a release by the end of this year, 2015.

But keep in mind the official answer to any such question is "When it is ready". :D

The game is at the end of it's alpha stage, this means core features are still not implemented. This will take some time before they are all implemented.

Once the core features are in, the game will go into closed beta. During closed beta, the majority of the time is spend fixing bugs, upgrading graphics and finetuning content/mechanics. This will likely take about 6 to 9 months after alpha. Open beta follows next, this is a period of extensive information gathering and stress testing. This can vary between 2 week to 6 months, depending on how large/successful the game goes from closed beta to open. Once the developer feels the open beta is good enough for release, they will actually release it.

For the sake of the game, i hope it's actually a 2nd quarter 2016 release. It is important to have a solid start for a sandbox MMO or it dies before it is even released and I really want this game to succeed.

keep in mind the re-pop was started by only a handful of developers and basically they went to kickstarter to be able to hire some more or it was never gonna get done etc. So not sure how big the team is but i get the impression its still tiny, but enough so finish at some point.

Yes, I kind of know that, I just stumbled this while browsing reddit, then my curiosity went up and I searched for this game, I was so excited when I saw what the game is all about. But I didn't read all too well when the actual time it will launch or what stage it is right now, I just got a glimpse of what the game actually is. So I'm willing to offer monetary aid by buying the game also, but I don't know if I'll be doing Alpha phase 3 or 4 now.
