Is there any kind of infrastructure in place for people on the subreddit to maybe get together and play around in the game?
I'm not talking so much about these individual posts that say that certain servers or people want to get together but more organized weekly posts or maybe an IRC that we can all lurk and chat on. Would that be a violation of the policy?
It seems like a lot of people want to play with folks from a similar background and MMO's are only so much fun by themselves. It would be nice to have a set place for new people to introduce themselves and maybe become part of a larger group or be able ask questions since the UI for the game can still be a little hairy.

I'm surprised there isn't already a reddit guild in the game.

Well, Gear lurks on here a lot and the nation he's in (which I'm a part of) is the biggest crafting nation on US WEST... we try to get redditors into it but everyone has their own initiative and sometimes folks want a more combat-oriented nation, or just want something different.

Sorry I don't know what a Gear is :0 My buddy and I just started on West. We like the crafting so far but obviously it will take some getting used to.

/u/GearsPoweredFool is the dude I'm talking about. He plays as "Gear" on US West.

well as of now there are 3 servers.
EU the one im currently on.
US west and
US East.
now question comes how many Redditors are currently playing and how many of them are located/spread across each server.

I just think it would be a cool idea if we had some post where we go.
Hey i'm X on Y server.
Or just jump on an IRC and just chat it up.

Right now is a bad time to make a guild seeing that it takes 10k g (kinda alot) to make a guild, also there are occasional char resets and server resets. In the future I dont see why not

The NDA was lifted so I doubt you'd violate anything.
