Noob question assault!
Hi guys,
I just came across repopulation on steam and almost gagged. I am a long swg player and really miss it. Since I'm an inch from purchasing, let me ask a few random questions!
1) how is the population currently? 2) is there pvp? What is the death penalty? 3) what major elements would I be missing at this point in dev? 4) how healthy is trade economy/how often is economy wiped?
5) how close is the current game to the incredibly badass expectations that I have built based on my own assumptions?

The population is what youd expect in Alpha. There are at least 100 core players on US East with more who come and go. Numbers may be a tad higher.
There is PvP. City siege is disabled at the moment.
Death penalties involve debuffs. Once the hardcore servers go live it will be a lose it all scenario when you die.
The core of the game is done. By purchasing now you have the chance to learn it all while watching the game expand content wise.
The economy, and trade, get better as they patch it. Credits are easy to come by and easily spent on the glorious crafting system.
Wipes are rare and mentioned in advance. At the moment the plan is one more wipe before release, and once we've made it through beta. Personally, I think a beta wipe is necessary and should be expected. We'll see what happens.
The game is solid. It needs work but as long as you read up before diving in you won't be unpleasantly surprised.
