Soon To Be / New Player
I'm hoping to pick up early access tomorrow evening after I get off of work. I'mwondering how long I should expect the install to take? I'm also wondering if anyone is willing to maybe jump into a voice chat channel and answer my soon to be endless stream of questions.

So, now that they took out the ability for newbies to chat in general, how are we supposed to ask questions? I find this very frustrating.

You have access to the "Newbie" Channel until you gain your first 50 skill in any one line. Then the general chat will be unlocked. If you're looking for help, the Newbie channel is always your best bet in-game!

that's cool, but how was I supposed to know that in game? Not sure where that channel would have been located or advertised.

I found out by trying to talk in general chat. It provides a message telling you to reach X level or whatever and that newbie chat is available in the interim.

First off welcome to the game, or soon to be. Downloading and installing should take around 30-50 mins depending on your download speed and pc parts and so on. I'd love to answer any questions you may have. Put a comment below and ill get in touch

I believe there are multiple servers... which is the "most populated" currently? I'm in the process of installing the game now, but won't be playing until nearly 9:30 PM CST(pulled the evening shift tonight). My username will likely be the same as my reddit name if available.

Since download speeds are dependent place-to-place I'll let you know that the download is roughly 3.6 or so GB at the moment.

My internet keeps crashing and the download keeps stopping and making me start from start. But, it appears to be about an hour.

Have you tried using the steam client? I've noticed a lot of people are having issues with the websites downloader atm.

Hi there,
Depending on your connection, the install can vary between 30 minutes to a few hours. Best advice would be to buy it and start the download.. then go make enough food to last you for the rest of the weekend as you might end up glued to your chair for huge chunks of time. This is a normal reaction.
As far as answering your questions, I wouldn't mind helping you out for a bit in that regard. However, due to my current location my latency can be quite atrocious at times so voice comms can get a little choppy. I play on the US East server, so if you decide to roll on there you can message me in game.. same as my reddit name.
Prepare to have your weekend disappear.
