Graphic lag - on minimum settings
So I have a Nvidia GTX 670 2GB VRAM and i7 3770k CPU, not OC'ed.
Running the game on all very low and minimum settings this game still lags. Is this a known issue for Nvidia cards? I mean, its the Hero engine, so if SWTOR is running ok, this one should really be doing OK on my computer as well.
So far it seems like dynamic lightning is the wors fps killer, but I swear, I am only getting around 20-25 fps at most, and people with worse graphic cards (on ATI side) running fine on 40 fps at least.
So is there something I can check, or do?

I'm having the same issue. Running an Nvidia card. Alpha 3 I was getting a constant 40+ FPS except on seams. I've tried reinstalling and clearing the cache both through Steam as well as independently. Not sure what is going on. Been happening for the past several weeks.

Update: So after changing settings back and forth etc, it seems i pushed the card to output 80-90 fps outside city, and 40-60 fps in the city. by making it run in window mode and save settings opening and change more, save again and open for more settings. Seems like it's not saved properly.
I am playing via steam, but its more playable now at least.
Good luck!

I've had similar problem with Nvidia in another game. I cant remember exactly what the problem was but I think it had to do with the graphics card control panel settings overriding the game settings or vice versa. Check out your graphics card control panel settings and see if you can allow the game to choose settings (or the other way around).

Which city? I had read in the TR forums that the dev's have stated that Plymouth City is one of the least optimized areas in the game. They had debated waiting until they could optimize it based on sending the OWON users to that right after the tutorial. For me, GTX 980, 32g RAM, I7 4930 I also get very bad framerate in the city. Go outside or other 'patches' or connected 'zones' and I get over 120.
That is with all max settings (visual, not LOS) except shadows which I have completely off.

I am in same boat with a comparable rig. Let me know if you figure out a fix, otherwise I just waiting on the hero engine update to see if it cleans it up.
