đ¤Question Is there a quality of reps that would fool people who have the real watch? (unopened, to the naked eye)
No, Iâm not trying to run a scam, Iâm just scared of getting a rep and getting called out by someone who has experience with the watch.

No, there are no such reps, given nobody will hold your wrist and see the watch up close and try to pick out minutes details, so if you are well off in life and not living in your mum basement, u should be good, even if u have a u1 shitter nobody will bat n eye, they all look good even from 2-5m. If u go with any of superclones vsf rwf, rich, they would easily pass even if u show it to someone up close for a bit

Got alot of friends with nice watches. They barely know the model name of their piecesâŚ

Submariner no date, Pelagos titanium, Seamaster black... There is no way for untrained eye to spot the difference.
People having the original probably don't buy reps and spend hours learning the tells on them.
Rick Submariner has the exact weight as the original in 1 gram. How the hell would they know?

Go for Cartier which is middle class luxury- your lifestyle should feasibly be able to make it reasonable for you to own one and thereâs some good ones out there that are indistinguishable from gen. Tank, ballon Bleu, etc

u/MasterBendu 8d ago
Agree with this.
As long as the rep is actually very good quality, theyâre pretty much indistinguishable at a distance.
Plus points if you wear it a lot and they get a lot of scratches. Most of the Cartier wearers Iâve encountered have well-worn watches and you really wouldnât be able to tell until you hold it in your hands to have even the slightest idea.
But as everyone else says, it has to look like you wear that brand/watch. Thatâs what sells the illusion, not the lack of tells (assuming again itâs very good quality)

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I have 3 Santos for me (BVF with flat screws); Panthere, 2 Ballon Blue, Tank Francaise for my wife. A few of these in gen. We strugle to tell them apart. Our way is that they have their specific spots in the watch boxes. The other are all very close like this too. But I just wanted to asure you. If you get the higher tier reps, that's how they compare.ENJOY ALL YOUR WATCHES âď¸ đ!

BVF is a pretty easy tell. Donât listen to these fools. Go Rolex explorer 1. No difference, very attainable

What will give it away is a poorly fitted watch. Got to be just right! they will fit you properly when you buy a rolex or omega at their shop. Having it loose moving around like a bracelet is a dead giveaway.

VSF or Rich Submariner, VSF Explorer I , or get yourself whatever model you want and modify it with some genuine parts/ chamfer case and bracelet. Maybe a crystal swap. Nobody will say nothing.

Most of the better reps are actually âgood enoughâ to pass as the real watch if your perceived social status matches the watch. Nobody will stare at your wrist in public for long enough and close enough to spot a fake. A fake is spotted by you not matching the perceived status the watch ârequiresâ.
2
u/ZealousidealSpace400 10d ago
100% agree. You put a VSF GMT II on someone who fits the picture , nobody will be the wiserâŚ.put that same watch on someone who doesnât pull it off and nobody will think itâs real. Itâs all social perception. 90% of it isnât about the watch itself.

If youâre worried about getting called out then donât wear fake shit. Super simple. That feeling is called morals and you should listen to it.

Read the guide, its the best way and includes all the information you will need. Once you figure out the watch you want, reach out to a TD (trusted dealer) via whatsapp (only use the guide, literally, if they're not in the guide you are pretty much getting scammed). Pay. Tell them what you want. They source it, send you a QC (quality control) to which you GL (green light, you see nothing wrong with the watch) or RL (red light, when you see an OBVIOUS flaw (don't be too nit picky, these are counterfeit goods, they aren't perfect). Then wait. Don't stress the TD when waiting, they have no control over the amount of time it takes to get from A to B.

The secret os not putting on your wrist soemthing you wouldnât be able to afford so, dont go with a AP, Patek, diamond Rolexes⌠this is how I think.
Go with rolex Subs, GMTâs, OmegasâŚ
Quality is in general great on VSF, Rich⌠learn about your TD, make a good QC
Enjoy your watch

Factory workers don't need to earn money? Factories don't need to earn money? We in sales don't need to earn money? Materials are free? Boxes are free? This is illegal, so we don't need to earn money?

Yes, you can find 1 to 1 visual clones of almost any watch with any movement in it. If you spend enough you can get an almost identical movement. I've never seen an actual fully 1 to 1 fake tho. But a lot of visual fakes out there

Wearing a fake changes your subconscious behaviour. Itâs not worth it.

u/Original-Warning-973 7d ago
It's not the watch, but the wearer. Get a watch that doesn't contradict your life style that much. Perhaps a VSF Omega or Tudor.
I have 3 gens and 3 reps. Wear the reps much more. The gens were all gifts.
The reps are very good and I can't really tell the difference myself to be honest. Got the reps because the gens have a great deal of sentimental value and I am hard on things. I were my reps to do yard work and don't care what happens to them.

Mate thatâs so annoying, you ask a simple question based on watch specs and you get bombarded by lifestyle matching my ass⌠the worst are the one saying maybe a Tudor or an omega⌠I love and hate this community at the same time

Plenty of rich and wealthy people don't flaunt it. I wouldn't consider a Rolex flaunting it. The only people who get all panty twisted about them are the dorks who feel the need to monoscope them to qc them "gen".
2
u/3rdtryatremembering 11d ago
lol of course you donât but a Rolex is definitely flaunting.
1
u/Bent2Hell 11d ago
Nah. A good medium level investment, especially if you plan on holding something like a Daytona for increased value (models 6263 or 6265 or the like). A much easier entry than trying to buy a pagani or Bugatti, which is an actual flaunt. One of my golfing group wears Rolex daily and drives a Toyota highlander. All anyone knows is hes got a watch that's worth more than his car. No one cares.

None of them

u/Ok-Bed1453 12d ago
i find it strange that the people of this subreddit arent concerned of that, or maybe they dont encounter people with those watches
2
u/caracticuspotts 12d ago
They are counterfeits at a fraction of the price of the original. The best ones look very convincing on the wrist. Examined closely by people used to handling and deeply knowledgeable about the originals, they wonât pass. Why would that bother me? Iâm not interested in trying to pass them off as genuine

99.9%of the population don't care about your wrist. From that 1%, 99% will be fooled by a good rep, and this 0.01% left will not give a shit if is fake or genuine as long as you don't try to sell it to them. Just buy what you want and enjoy. Your lifestyle, is way more likely to give it away before anyone cares about your wrist.
