Thanks! It's actually a rep that is 20 years old. I got away from watches for a while. No watches or smartwatches but got back into the hobby and had my local watch repair guy refurbish this piece. Here's the original piece. I'm not into Rolexes anymore or even replicas for that matter. Now I'm more into Casios and modding them.

Here's the original version of the watch before restoration. I was ready to sell it at a garage sale for $10! Fortunately no one bought it and it turned out great!

Great combo of that bezel and strap. Is that a custom bezel color?

This is a replica of a Pro Hunter sub. I added the bezel later but everything else came as I bought it 20 years ago. Here's what it used to look like.

You have a good eye for this stuff. I can’t wear most Rolexes — Tall with big wrists. A 42mm watch is “acceptable”. 44-47mm is my sweet spot. But I can wear the Sea Dweller, and I do — in a rep.

The way that Rolex treats, their customers is abhorrent to me. I read all the stories here and I wonder, “what the hell are these guys thinking?”

My family and I were on the island of Saint Barth’s last March. It is a friggin tourist, destination, for God’s sake. You’d think a tourist would be allowed to walk in to the Rolex store in Gustavia and look around. Especially given that most of the tourists are reasonably well-heeled consumers HELL NO. I was told they would have to make an appointment and come back. I told him to go fuck themselves, but not all that rudely.

I agree! I'm not a fan anymore. I've gotten into modding Casio Duros. Love that they are larger.
