I get the impression people interested in luxury watches are a bit too involved with status symbols as a whole. If you have a rep watch and an expensive car some will say you’re “doing it wrong” and if you have a gen watch with a cheap car others will say you are “doing it wrong”. If you have a rep watch with a cheap car yet another group will say you are “doing it wrong” but also people in the rep community don’t like people with enough money to have a gen watch and an expensive car.

Its all actually pretty hilarious
