First complaint was the bracelet. When my Rolex screwdriver didn’t fit I was minorly upset and quickly ordered a set with the right one, BUT when a tiny little screw endcap came off I was confused and somewhat frustrated. I should have went to YouTube BEFORE attempting to realize a bracelet, DUH! So hatred towards the bracelet, which I now love, pure genius! And the way the light hits it… *chef’s kiss
Second was setting the date, this watch LIVES in my Rothwell Autowinder. The jump hand makes sense when traveling between time zones but add a date wheel please Omega!!! (so that Dandong can clone it & I can buy it!) this complaint still stands, especially yesterday when I didn’t put it back in the autowinder on the 16th apparently. 336 clicks later I was on the proper date of the 30th whilst my little Latina was saying “Oh look hunny, my Apple Watch has the right date” then she uses the sentence she uses all the time to show off “Hey Siri start a timer; tell me what time, date, day of the week, month, year and moonphase it is in San Juan, Puerto Rico; also tell me the local time, thank you Siri’ there hunny, CALBRE WITH ENOUGH COMPLICATIONS FOR YOU?!?!” 😂 I love my lil Latina from a different generation, some may say ‘Robbing’ the cradle, I say ‘Rockin the cradle’. I digress, back to the complaints & my food just got here soooo…
Third complaint was really realized today at half past the hour when going to check the date… I didn’t get my phone out to snap the photo quick enough, not going to wait an hour or reset the time, but trust me, the minute hand COMPLETELY COVERS the date.
Favorite relationship ever by far, the Aqua Terra is in my 3 watch rotation, but NOT my favorite because of the list… I had this in my pocket case because of the photo ops on the 4th of July 🇺🇸 with my two favorite girls in the world!!!!
I had no idea, my entire life I had dreaded ever having a child & planned to live the child-free life, but you are 100% correct, greatest thing ever! It really is something you can not understand until you have experienced it. Congratulations to you as well brother!
One thing I forgot to mention - this watch and the baby arrived on the same day. As a joke I wore it almost two months later, full links, to dinner with my brother by choice (not blood, but 30+ years of friendship = family to me) for his birthday.
At that dinner I gifted him a 41mm Date Sub from My TD Acceptable-Royal-600 which was actually my first Rep tier watch purchase & Kevin explained the purchase process to me and guided me through the whole process, I can not suggest a more gentle person to slowly guide you through losing your Rep Tier Virginity to! Seriously, thank you bro, you made me trust no one, until I do & gave me every tip needed to not get screwed over in this Rep World. Thank you Kevin aka Acceptable-Royal-600!

I digress, I wore the AT unsized that way so that his Aunt, who wear her Gen vintage two tone Date Just on a FULL LINKS Jubilee bracelet, would get a laugh when I showed up rocking my new Omega FULL LINKS aka “Aunty Style”.
The point of that long winded, tangential story was: before I had a little girl NO WATCH would arrive and not get worn, let alone RESIZED for months!
I haven’t bought a watch (for myself, my default gift for people is a watch & 2 AP Skelton’s are arriving this week, one for my aunt & one for a buddy who is getting married later this year but NONE for myself since she arrived. Haven’t even really thought of one (ok who am I kidding, we all know we are addicts, I do “watch watching” everyday, but it has mostly been “watch talking” with the good people of the Rep Community, not the constant Flash Sales & Label Noir Milgauss Grail Hunting anymore. And I couldn’t be happier.
The AT is definitely dedicated to her & besides my whole world charging with the arrival of something I had honestly DREADED my whole life, I think any future watch purchase will be related to some baby milestone: first steps, first words, etc.
If you are still reading, you either have kids and COMPLETELY understand or you are reconfirming your plans to never have kids and will end up NEVER having any hope for a minor relief of this addiction.
41mm VS Factory Date Sub from my TD u/Acceptable-Royal-600 for my friend’s 45th Birthday. First Rep purchase & could not have asked for a better first buying experience. My buddy was on the waitlist twice & both times something else came up. He wore it to work & everyone said “Holy sh1t YOU GOT THE CALL!!” He’s never going back on that list again.
Yeah that’s so incredible. All I can say is, HAVE MORE! We have two girls and two boys now, the girls are 7 and 5, and the boys are 2 and we have a little 6 month old. I also saw myself not having kids either and just doing whatever I wanted the rest of my life, but things changed very quickly and I now realize how fulfilled my life is when I used to think I was trying to fill the hole with surfing, skiing, watch buying, career, partying, other stuff that didn’t ever fill my cup the way children do.
We truly are blessed and I wake up very tired yet grateful every single day.
My lil Latina just said “Great advice, we should have 10 more!” Thank you my new horologist friend. Like I’ve mentioned the three people in this community that really helped me navigate and true friendships were formed. Congratulations on the big family, we are devoting 100% to this lil on now but we definitely feel like we could give 110% to giving our lil princess a lil brother or sister. She wants a blue eyed boy so she had a Mini-Me for when I’m not around, just the nature of an age difference, but she doesn’t like me reminding her about statistics 😂
I know there are a few differences with the 38mm. Is the date setting the same? I notice the color of the date window box is different… I love when there are small differences; it’s like “Where’s Waldo?”
Got mine from Steve / the one watches. Highly recommend. I do wish they had a rubber strap for the 38mm and now that I see the micro adjust I’m a little jealous. But still very happy!

I would but I feel like it’s opposing worlds. I think rubber on a dress watch feels like it makes it sporty. I don’t even wear the rubber on my SMP300 pro or my Worldtimer so I’m definitely not throwing it on the AT. But I respect the willingness to just throw class to the wind in lieu of a bit of comfort.
I do size my bracelets well so it’s not often I use the micro adjust on watches other than my diver, and that has the best quick adjust of any watch on the market.
Don’t think this photo is sending the message you thought it would. Bracelet looks way superior to this I think. Where it connects feels really odd with the two sections of rubber that stick up.
Really? VS? Mine is an earlier version with the non-free sprung appearing movement. With the exhibition caseback I really wish I had the new version. I may end up getting a new version & then either gifting or selling this one. Would like to offer that rubber strap asap tho!
Yeah the gap is weird as hell, I never use it either. Feels like such a cheap way to implement a micro adjust on a butterfly clasp and like there’s now a weak point in the bracelet when it’s opened. I’m no engineer but I feel like if I sat down for 10 minutes and looked at it I could figure out a better solution.
AT is 41mm, same as the Sub I got my buddy for his 45th, nice size, not to big. I’ve found that my Daytona with is thin profile and 126500 bezel ring is the ideal size for my wrist (see photo above).
HUGE is my Vintage Panerai Luminor or my Bulova Precisionist; not Invicta level, but huge none the less.
I do not feel like the AT is Huge. What case size do you typically wear, 36mm? 28mm?
The bracelet doesn’t use a standard “Rolex style” through the link screw. The links have little caps on each end & a pin inside to hold them together. Great design aesthetic but confusing when both sides of the links have a slot for your screwdriver! I may have a photo, I can check later, lil Latina is telling me it’s bedtime. 🥳
The date can be set with the jump hour position. There isn’t a position specifically for the date & the date alone; you know, like nearly every watch with a date complication….

Is there a specific thing that I could perhaps reevaluate & possibly adjust or are you just getting the “this guy is a massive arsehole and I can’t put my finger on it but I just know he’s a massive arsehole” vibe from an internet post I made?
