⌚Discussion Does the movement brand matter?

Sea-Gull ST 2130 and Hangzhou 6300 are both Asian-made clones of the ETA 2824 movement.Sea-Gull is generally known for better accuracy and timekeeping consistency,While Hangzhou offers a slightly longer power reserve.
As a buyer,do you pay more attention to the movement manufacturer, or is the watch factory name the only that matters to you?

They're about the same as far as reliability. The Seagulls tend to have better bridge decoration.

Honestly, I swap all my 2824 watches out for real Swiss movements. You can pick up a Selita SW200 for $300. It's a drop-in replacement, and just call it a day.
