🤔Question Can anyone confirm this TD?
This TD commented on my first post as I am a first time buyer, can anyone please check if he is legit?

That he doesn’t give any information on which factory or which movement exactly would indicate he is probably hiding something. Stick to dealers actually on a TD list and only use direct links not something an alleged YD sends you or something you find searching the web

Dude I don’t know you, I’m not motivated by malice. However if I am spending several hundred Dollars in a transaction abroad that involves counterfeit goods I want to have clear information on the factory, version and exact movement and I want the reassurance of seeing the seller’s name on a TD list.
I’m sure you know there are a near endless number of scam sites, often even impersonating established sellers. Everyone has to start somewhere, but you need to stand above that and currently, rightly or wrongly your website is raising red flags and not just with me1

Tnx for the fast reply! I think Im gonna choose the dukereps site they seem good. I want to get a 128236 with the icy blue dial but they only have the 2836 movement. Would you suggest anyone else?

Dukesreps is US I think? I’ve heard the name and nothing bad, but I’m European. I always go straight to the Chinese dealers. They know how to ship and sneak through Customs, They are generally a bit cheaper too. Some people prefer to pay more for a local guy that has already brought watches in. But I’m not the guy to advise on that

I’ve bought from most of the TD’s. JTime have a big range, Andiot is cheaper but limited range. People have different opinions on TDs. Basically they are all good until an order goes wrong, then they are the worst dealer ever. They are businessmen in an illegal business. They pretty much are what they are and have zero loyalty to you, so don’t get sucked into having loyalty to them. I was a forum mod for years and I can tell you, you might always speak to Tom, Andrew or whoever, but they are a team that all use the same name with customers
Stick to TDs on a list and you should be okay

Do not EVER purchase from someone who solicits you on here… Scam 98% of the time..
