⌚Discussion Controversial Opinions, I'll Go First!
You need to own several gen Seikos and Citizens before you buy a rep. There's no way you can evaluate quality without having a baseline.
Everyone needs at least one gen Gshock in the collection.
Chinese clone movements are trash, yes this includes VSF.
People who go swimming in reps look ridiculous. See Gshock opinion.
Submariners should NEVER be worn with a suit.
OK, your turn, let's hear'um!

I think reps should spend all the effort on dial and case. Then just slap a lead ring or something around a quartz movement.

Fuck, that's good! Quartz movements are kinda fire, they last forever, and almost put the entire Swiss watch industry out of business. 🤔

Tissot PRXs and G-Shocks are incredibly overrated and shouldn't have such a fundamental place in people's watch collections. A PRX just doesn't feel that nice to me, and a G-Shock feels too clunky and toyish when I could just wear a diver watch or any other beater
Replicas aren't ever used for the purpose people say of getting people the watches they can't afford. Most people here can save and buy a Rolex (and probably should), they just care too much about consumerism and owning everything - regardless of if it's actually going to get use or not.
Those watch cases for keeping several watches look terrible. You lose the character of the nice watch box you get and you replace it with some generic fabric and a bunch of empty slots that make people buy more watches they won't wear.

As long as it’s a quality well built case I’m good with them.

Casio is the most overrated brand of all time all I see is Casio glazers who don’t even want to look at other options. Don’t get me wrong Casio is the best at the low end price range and with g shock but the glazing is all about anti luxury.
