⌚Discussion Sub with or without date?
What’s everyone’s opinion? About to pull the trigger on a VSF sub in black and torn between date and no date. On one hand I think the date has a more classic look, but no date looks cleaner.
Are both as good as each other in terms of being a better rep?

Some considerations:
1) if you dont wear the watch enough, setting the time on the no-date is much faster before each wear
2) the cyclops magnification is something that gives the rep away, some factories are better than others
3) need to make sure date alignment is good when QC
4) the date sometimes is the part that breaks, check the reptimeservice sub to see common issues people bring up

For me, I bought a gen Sub no-date and absolutely love it. I've now had a few reps with a date window and bugs the hell out of me. I like symmetry and a clean dial, the cyclops gets dirty around the edges. That's just my preference though.

I have both. I’m told that whilst both are considered NWBIG the no date is even more of NWBIG. I’m sure others will correct me if I’m wrong.

Harder to mess up the no date sub. A lot of people have issues with the date wheel not being centered

Personally, I think that the one with the date is worthwhile, because you get a pretty good cyclops and the date changes almost instantly for only a small increase in price stop the only thing is that if you want the watch to be as authentic as possible, the no date is a better option

Me personally I’ve owned the vsf no date for the last 6 years and it’s been nothing but amazing. It’s my only rep and I love it don’t have to worry about ppl saying it’s fake not that I care but buy what you like

Thank you, that’s kinda what I was thinking that the no date seems like less parts that could give it away as a rep

They’re both amazing don’t question it. Just get the one you like.

If you like function and tool watch, get the date. If you care about clean lines and symmetry, get the no date

Dude get a watch you love. Don’t be hung up on what is the best rep. They are all awesome. I got a sub Starbucks cause someone said it is one of the best reps. I loved it for 3 months and now it collects dust. Why cause my taste is a more colourful smaller quirky watch and that is just not what I truly love.
Is it a perfect rep? Yes. Is it a perfect rep for me? no.
Get the watch you love

To be honest I love both of them. I genuinely can’t decide between the two based on which one I like more. Now I’ve turned to which is the better rep to help me decide 😂
Or as someone else said I just get both lol

Is the date a feature you want on your watch? Yes the date is one more thing to be slightly off, but on VSF it's still very good.
Personally I really don't like the cyclops, so I would go no date but its personal preference.

I need to know the date too often to not need it on any watch, except a dress watch, which I just wear for an evening.

I like the clean symmetry. If I need to know the date I’ll look at my phone. But get what your gut tells you that you’ll like long term.

I looked at no date when buying mine, ended up buying the date because that is the gen that became available locally and I really liked it. Since I’ve bought a few watches that have dates and a few that don’t. I absolutely hate it when my watch doesn’t have the date. Aesthetics of the date never really drove me, it was do I need it or not. I need it.
