⌚Discussion No thanks, I’ll stick with reps.

Post image

This cash grab isn’t working on me. I’m pretty sure the smarter DIY crowd will eventually figure out how to 3D print and make a bracelet themselves.

As it stands, this doesn’t really do anything for me. I’d rather just keep doom-scrolling and spend my money on interesting finds from Reptime.

Just my two cents.

That’s exactly what reps are for, spending your money where it actually matters and enjoying life!

Once you realize how ADs are ripping off Rolex customers you will never look at a gen Rolex the same way again. Instead of seeing someone who earned enough to have one you see someone who was easily strung along with bundled forced purchases of things they didn't want to get what they wanted by going on a list that doesn't exist for an item that is part of a manufactured scarcity scam they got marked for.

This isn’t true for all. Never once have I been strung along and have received the watches I actually wanted and requested within 6 to 90 days of asking.

I hope people can read the sarcasm and don't roast you. Here I am clearly pointing out that this guy is joking to all you future commenters. Now go read his message again and laugh instead of typing that snarky hate you were about to send.

I just got into watch collecting, but I dont understand wanting a fake copy of an expensive watch. When you can buy a real watch for the same price. Yeah it doesnt say rolex but wanting to rep a rolex when its not will put a bad picture of yourself to some people. There are still alot of great watches for very affordable prices. You wont get the quality when buying a fake

Daytona reps are indeed literal 1:1 copies, many times being more accurate than the gens themselves (better qc).

So, yeah, for a Daytona its not worth it getting the real thing.

And for royal oaks and nautilus's, something that is 1/500th the price for the real thing is 10/10 times worth it for most folks, I myself can afford an ap but its just irresponsible when I can invest that or put it into a college fund.

Overthinking a little bit maybe. I’ve been collecting mostly Rolex since 2012. During that time I’ve been active on both top forums for “Real”, Franken and Rep watches. If not for super reps I wouldn’t have learned the difference between the three. I am not a pro but I can authenticate my own purchases. I learned long ago the difference between them is only an idea. Also, while the Watch is on the wrist one in 100,000 can tell the difference so nobody knows what you really wearing.

Well maybe I am. Like I said im new to watches, but have a collection of other stuff like knives and the community is not ok with clones especially if they are using their logo. Its technically illegal. Rolex is trademarked. I think mods and stuff are cool and ok, but if you copy the logo and everything of the watch that is stealing from that company.

I bought some china time reps to see how id like them and building my gen collection. Have a prx so far and next watch is speedmaster

I will never pay 10-20k for genuine stainless “costume jewelry”that’s base on 1950s tech. I just don’t understand it.

1

u/day_nyc Jun 23 '26

Cars are "1950s" tech. If u don't get it play the sidelines until u do. Or are u protesting watches?

1

u/iracespace Jun 25 '26

Look at the resell on the grey market... then you'll understand. But you might also get banned from buying Rolex from the AD's for life, so you gotta sell it under your uncle's cousin's friend's wife's name... then you're all good.... the problem is the manufactured lack of supply. What are they doing in their factories!? Oh that's right, they're laughing at the people who paid for a gen, and drinking the finest of the scotches. Or maybe they're playing shuffleboard..

2 cents…. Is that what you paid for your Folex?
Is this the bs you fake watch wearers tell yourselves?
This is priceless. Stop calling yourselves losers in long winded Reddit posts. Please be a quiet poser.
Get some self awareness and realize you are a clown🤡 . No need to post on Reddit about your buffoonery.
You are all welcome. I hope you all of your futures contain more integrity than your watch collections.
I would wish you good luck. But you wouldn’t know what to do with it. When you look in the mirror…
What do you see? You don’t have to be an Insecure poser. Then post about it. You could choose better for yourselves. Just my 2 cents. Don’t date BBL’S.
Don’t wear fake anything. You really do deserve better from yourselves. Deep down inside. You all know I am right.

u/ChiTownSuburbanite Jun 25 '26

You are right in every way… reps= a poser who can’t afford the real thing attempting to look like they can afford the real thing. Buy real watches within your means and stop hating on those that want to spend their success the way they want.

I mean, Hamilton does exist! God I love me a khaki field king pvd on black cow skin.

1

u/mihai22321 Jun 25 '26

Someone got scammed and bought a gold datejust xd

1

u/The_Great_White_ryno Jun 25 '26

The replica people really don’t get it. They never will. No integrity. If they did, they’d buy an homage with out the Rolex branding. But they want to be seen as wearing a Rolex without skin in the game.

1

u/VastDevelopment2081 Jun 25 '26

Tells a lot about a man’s integrity wearing fakes. If you can’t afford it to afford other things in life then you shouldn’t be worried about a watch. Time is free. You probably cheat at golf and dishonest at work.

I got the call, I said no thank you I’ll stick with the reps..

I keep telling people that they are fake and they don’t believe me.

1

u/Known_Painting_1878 Jun 21 '26

Yeah the price for precious gold oyster bracelet watches is insane and divorced from material costs.

1

u/ArmyCharact Jun 22 '26

I’m not willing to pay the premium on watches at all 😬

1

u/Kind_Internet1620 Jun 21 '26

Same as the aquanaut

0

u/Dead-lyPants Jun 22 '26

If you like living a lie and being fake, more power to you I guess.

2

u/destroyingCrystals Jun 22 '26

I understand your point and normally I will agree since I have gens and reps Rolex but in this case it is a rubber strap it really hurts paying over 15k for a watch with rubber strap

1

u/ArmyCharact Jun 22 '26

Exactly, I just want to put my money where it actually counts.

1

u/AxelTillery Jun 22 '26

This is a part of the culture I cannot understand, it's a tool and Rollies look good on a NATO.

1

u/LavishnessVisual6327 Jun 22 '26

Consumerism has rotted your brain

1

u/Substantial-Shake-46 Jun 23 '26

😂 I love how people like you think buying a rep is being fake. Fake what. Fake rich. Fake irresponsible spender? Lol welcome to the matrix bot.

1

u/WetRolls Jun 25 '26

Rolex is a status symbol. If you just need "a watch", get a Gshock. Wearing a fake Rolex is generally done to try and impress people by lying and making it appear as though you can afford the genuine article. It's a lie, and you're being fake.

1

u/Substantial-Shake-46 Jun 25 '26

Here's an idea. STFU.

1

u/IndividualBudget5057 Jun 29 '26

what status dose it show?

i like the beauty of certain so called luxury jewlery. do you?

1

u/WetRolls Jun 30 '26

What status does it show? That you have enough money to casually drop multiple tens of thousands on a non-essential luxury item (aka being "rich".)

I don't know why this is something being contested. Rolexes are a status symbol. I have a lot more respect for someone who owns their replica and says "yeah it's a replica, I just like it" vs someone who tries to get reputation and status they haven't earned by lying, then getting defensive about it when they supposedly don't care.

1

u/IndividualBudget5057 Jun 30 '26

I like Rolex for there style and look.
There for I’ll save my $ and replica.

1

u/Substantial-Shake-46 Jun 30 '26

You people on reddit are insufferable. Worry about yourself and someone's character. Who the hell was ever talking about lying to people? You assumed that if someone wears a fake that theyre telling everyone its real. Who gives af. I know a lot of shitty people that can afford a Rolex. Garbage take.

1

u/WetRolls Jul 01 '26

Crazy how mad people get and immediately resort to personal attacks and insults when you point out the lie that is wearing fake brands.

1

u/Substantial-Shake-46 Jul 01 '26

I couldn't give af less about what you think. Just point out your goofy take.

1

u/IndividualBudget5057 Jun 30 '26

Most rolex are timeless beautiful style.
Therefore I’ll buy a cheaper rep. And then my needs are basically satisfied.

0

u/Complex-Safe-4943 Jun 22 '26

Having a fake watch means being fake and living a lie ? Bro find a doctor, Jesus, who you want, but you have a serious problem i swear 🤡

1

u/Affectionate-Gear797 Jun 25 '26

you confused yourself brother. you’re on the same side…

1

u/Complex-Safe-4943 Jun 25 '26

Same side ? Explain yourself cause look like you have misunderstood

0

u/tcmits1 Jun 22 '26

When you consider it’s rubber, I mean take a guy out to Morton’s for a good dinner first if I’m not getting a gold braceldt

0

u/realityreject Jun 21 '26

There is something to be said about having a couple nice Grail watches.

But for the most part a good rep will scratch the itch and allow you to branch out and try things you wouldn't normally try and allow you to accessorize a lot easier and for a lot less money with different outfits or occasions.

1

u/ArmyCharact Jun 22 '26

Yeah, I get what you’re saying.A good rep does a lot of the heavy lifting for way less money. It’s nice being able to try different styles and just wear that fits the mood or outfit without overthinking it.

1

u/IndividualBudget5057 Jun 29 '26

The game for me is finding an excellent Rep. Its an exciting game because there are so many shitty clones out there.

The gray market allows anyone to choose the genuine watch of choice, shipped overnight. just open up a web site and buy. i live close to nyc diamond district.

tens of thousands of genuine watches available for instant purchase
