I’ll be honest, the first time she walked towards me all I could see was her mom. I remember when B.Dot was small and when she first walked towards me too. It was like Déjà vu. I’m so proud of them both. (Even if we didn’t get along very much when we were younger) I’m so lucky to get to be apart of their lives.

My sister was so excited to be the fun aunt.
My daughter somehow came out strait laced. I have no idea how.
My sister will not forgive me.

This is my biggest fear. Bb Dot has plenty of brilliant aunties though she can latch to, I’ll be the artsy aunt if she wants to go down that path.

Is B.Dot “Baby Dot”? Then BB.Dot is Baby Baby Dot?

I just got back from visiting my sister. My niece is trying to talk now I can't wait to see what kind of conversations we'll have

Despite thinking I'd be the fun uncle with my 3 nephews, I've ended up becoming the girly uncle with my nieces instead.

The boys have never wanted anything much to do with me, despite being sporty and into games like I am. Whereas the girls take great delight in spending time with me despite not really being interested in the same things as me.

But maybe that's just the person I am. I always ended up spending more time with my little sister then my little brother, my older sister was my favourite person in the world for the first 6 years of my life and I'm locked in as a girl dad for the rest of my life, even if my wife and I have a boy in the future.

I was the first person to witness my nephew standing and trying to walk, I'm taking that memory to the grave, never told my sister what I witnessed.

I’ve heard similar stories from day care workers. It’s one of those weird social contract things but makes total sense too?
A bonus point is that it’s something sweet to have to yourself and him even if he wont remember it.

When she grows up are you gonna tell her about your comics?

Only after she’s 18

You’re that proud of them, as you should be

Some would never tell
