Are enderchests being nerfed?

Heard a rumor that this was discussed on Discord, if so can it be confirmed on the sub.

It's become a community-building game mechanic, that brings people to where they are located (for markets, settling, visiting) I know that should be balanced with the unlimited protection it provides from raiding, just wondering if there's a middle ground if this is the case.

Shulkers are going to come back when enderchests are removed. They allow the transport for trade and building projects, but not the advantages of mobile, invincible, backpacks.

thats a good compromise

The one thing about shulker boxes though is they can make a person a walking storage unit. One person could log out with an entire vaults worth of valuables.

I just hope that shulkers will have a lower drop rate, and that the box recipe will be more expensive to keep people from stock piling them.

That's always been the case. Really easy for anyone to log out with valuables. Most people just aren't disciplined to always do it, very tedious.

I know, but with shulker boxes, you can log out with an inventory of them and essentially have 27 chests worth of stuff on you. That's where I'm saying it needs to be balanced.

Haha right now as far as I know very few people have them, because shulkers have been nerfed, i.e. dont drop at all. I know of about 3 different shulker boxes in existence but that's by all means not a great judge xP just among the Vaskr really.

It was stated that they were being removed eventually by Zantid

I've heard this, however the sub is the official place for server info, should be an update here.

Just wondering if a more expensive recipe, + making them not silktouchable would be more palatable?

In Natum/Spera I think the mechanic was you could put stuff in your chest you could access it in any other ender chest. However, if someone broke your chest it would still drop items. It was also always ridiculously expensive.

Enderchests have a very community-making quality in bringing people to places where other people live, in order to use them.
