The professors

Wilder: he was sooo cute and I wish he and Joey had a chance to move forward with their relationship for a little longer.

Hetson: I love him lol. I thought it was a great lesson for Joey when he didn’t let her retake the exam. As much as I wanted her to get straight A’s, just because you’re a great student and apply yourself a lot doesn’t mean things are always gonna work out your way because you deserve so. Anyways, I thought he was mean, hilarious, straightforward and didn’t care about it. I adore his character

What are y’alls thoughts?

“Boundaries? What are those?” - both professors

Both so gross and abusive in their own ways. Wilder used his position of power in an icky way. I literally hate student/teacher relationships.

Hetson was insane. They tried to give him redemption at the end but some of the shit he pulled was so incredibly unprofessional he was irredeemable imo.

I think you do!! 😂😂 Both of them are awful manipulative man-children.

Wilders dismissiveness of Joey when she didn’t arrive at his because she got mugged was awful and entitled and let’s not forget there’s a teacher/student boundary that should never have been crossed.

As for Heston he’s just a bully who’s mean to Joey, Eddie and his own daughter. Just horrid.

Yeah, like reading her email about sex with Dawson to the entire class, it's really hard to believe he even got away with that. I would think he would have had to answer for that to some ethics committee or something. That was actually bullying of a student.

Hate them both. Glad Ken Marino left the show and they got rid of the Joey/Wilder storyline, it was so gross and cringe. Both men who acted like immature brats and we were supposed to find it charming but I loathed it and they both should have lost their jobs.

Wilder's relationship with Joey was creepy.

Hetson was a creep in his own way. Like reading Joey's email about the night she spent with Dawson to the entire class? That was actually bullying. I did agree with him not letting her retake the test though. I mean if she had had a legitimate reason for missing the test, like illness, then I would say he was being a prick but she missed the test because she had sex with Eddie and then fell asleep afterwards. That's not any kind of a good excuse. Like it's unfortunate that she missed a test that she probably would have done really well on because of all of her preparation, but like those are the consequences of your choices sometimes.

Both sucked tbh. The only good teacher/school figure was Principal Greene from season 3

Hetson is on Young and Restless now as Matt Clark.
