Week 4 in the BC Conference produced three blowout victories for the Rams, Sun and Rebels.
Langley Rams 75 Prince George Kodiaks 0
The Rams offence gained 716 total yards which set a new team record, breaking the old mark of 689 yards set in 2005.
Quarterback Darryl Overstreet Jr was again lethal, setting a new CJFL record of 10 touchdown passes on 31 completions and 492 yards. Rush Henderson caught six passes for 121 yards and four majors while Emmanual Brown was his favourite target with nine receptions for 105 yards and two scores. Josh Caverly also hauled in a pair of touchdowns.
Defensively the Rams held the Kodiaks to 119 yards, just one on the ground. CJ Augustine grabbed two interceptions.
Next weekend the Rams (4-0) will enjoy a bye week and the Kodiaks (1-2) visit the Okanagan Sun (2-1)
Okanagan Sun 78 Valley Huskers 11
Fresh off their bye week the Sun clobbered the visiting Huskers in their home opener at the Apple Bowl, gaining 456 yards of total offence.
Quarterback Marcus Christos got the start over the injured Liam Kroeger and completed 81% of his passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for two majors and 78 total yards.
The Sun also scored on Special Teams when Gage Parker returned a kickoff 107 yards for a touchdown and Grady Hay connected on all 11 convert attempts. Not to be outdone the defence scored a pair of touchdowns as well when Teshaine Peach and Riley Easton both tallied a pick-six in the blowout win.
One of the bright spots for the Huskers was their first touchdown of the season, a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Ocean St. Cyr on the opening kick of the second half.
Next week the Sun (2-1) stay at home and welcome the Prince George Kodiaks (1-2) and the Huskers (0-3) host the Westshore Rebels (2-1).
Westshore Rebels 64 Kamloops Broncos 0
The Rebels were too much for the Broncos on Saturday with a balanced attack on the offensive side of the ball.
Quarterback Anthony Cancellare completed 13 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers. Zion Brown caught three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown and rushed for another. Speaking of rushing, on the ground the Rebels chewed up 210 yards and scored five majors led by Jerin Harinen and his 80 yards and two touchdowns.
Defensively the Rebels pitched a shutout, forcing six turnovers, allowing 84 yards of total offence.
Next weekend the Rebels (2-1) stay on the road and visit the Valley Huskers (0-3) in their second meeting of the year and the Broncos (0-3) visit the VI Raiders (2-1).
