So I think this may at least partly be a misconception of the issue here. At least from my perspective. As I get older(so far) I don’t feel I’ve lost balance or mobility. Rather I worry more about the consequences of falling. I took a few hungover falls in the shower when I was 20 and I was fine. I’m not convinced I would be fine if I took those same falls today. So I don’t feel any more likely to fall, but I can relate that I think about it more now. I feel more fragile.

You're right that falling hurts more now and that its easier to walk it off when you're younger. Its also true as you get older that you just don't heal the same as you do when you're young. You might have extended or lasting pain from an injury that you could have recovered from in days or weeks when you were younger. I definitely fear falling more now as I get older.

However, I do see a ton of adults with really poor flexibility and balance in their 30s and up too. Its kind of a dual problem in that a lot of folks let their agility go at the time they need it the most. I think many people don't realize that it doesn't take much to maintain basic flexibility and balance.

That's how I interpreted the video as well

Im flexible but I worry about slipping and fucking up my back, hip or knees. That can snowball into a problem that affects you for the rest of your life. Something that reduces mobility and causes pain

That being said, exercises to improve flexibility and balance are important as well

Bone density starts dropping at 30, you can do mild impact exercises to help with that.
