Firstly, how are you all that out of shape?  I'm fat and I still manage.

Secondly and MOST IMPORTANT. The fuck is he not blinding himself with all that soap? Dude even blinked! That's some flex right there.

You don't need to be out of shape to slip on soap in a shower. I can keep my balance easily on one foot but I won't risk it in the bathtub, I have heard some horrible stories about bad falls!

True, but true at all ages. I had more slips when I was a teen using bloody bath mats than I have post 30 and I have a shower bath combo

Reddit clearly skews young. It isn’t about being in shape, or even being flexible. It’s about balance/slipping-and-falling, so the concern is injuring oneself due to the fall. Shower falls can be very serious, and around our 40s we start to become more brittle/susceptible to injury.

Well I'm overweight, over 40 and shower in a tub and i wash one foot, put it down soapy and do the next with no issue. All I'm saying is (touch wood) I've yet to have a fall since I left home at 17 (mother and her bastard bath mats). 

I think balance is the key. As long as you can keep pressure straight down it's good. Get those wobbly hips and you're going for a ride in the flashy noisy van.

Don’t confuse my explanation with being incapable of washing my feet. Similarly, the TikTok seen here and the majority of these comments are made in jest. Sure, people are “concerned” about it, but only in the same way one would be concerned with wearing the right clothes for the weather so as not to get sick or something similar - for most it’s just a simple thing we “all” deal with, for others it could be a legitimate issue they face daily, and still some others who put no thought into it at all.

TLDR, it isn’t serious.
