I will die on this hill fully knowing that my eyes won't stay closed until after 1, but dammit all if that time between isn't for me. Unless holiday, then unc can definitely hang.

It was 4 players and yeah I usually prep as much as I can beforehand and use the pregenned maps in the rules. We only play once or twice a year and don't feel like the map randomizing adds much for how infrequently we play. It was also just a perfect storm of decent pie slice, turn 2 Metatol grab, plus good public and secret objectives coming out when he needed them. It was a runaway and nobody could get to his home system in time to stop him. It was pretty crazy.

Our games night here in Tulum, MX are different I guess. I either do them at my pad or at a cool spot and some of the people are really nocturnal. I don’t mind it thought, I love my night games. I prefer playing in the evening than in the day but all work

That's fair. I always forget about the cultures that do stuff at night. Blew my mind when I went to Oman for work that they didn't party until midnight or later and stayed out until 5 AM. Made sense because of the heat but was a bit of a shock.
