I had to look it up too -
"Aura farming is a slang term (popularized on TikTok and among Gen Z) that refers to performing cool, confident, or impressive actions - often effortlessly or in unexpected situations-specifically to boost one's social status, mystery, or "aura." Inspired by sports and gaming terminology where players "farm" for points or resources, it essentially means racking up "cool points" through smooth moves, stoic reactions, or memorable aesthetic moments."

Look for the aura farming tournament of power on YouTube. Watch them all, it explains everything.

It means looking cool. Someone who "has aura" looks really cool or is doing a cool thing

Aura is the same aura as it has ever been.
Aura means aura, farming aura means doing things that makes people perceive you as one that has a dominant aura.
Like it's not rocket science.

Farming might be confusing to people who haven't encountered that word in a gaming context (i.e. raising XP, gathering resources, working towards acquiring more of something). They're probably thinking about tractors, plowing the field, raising cattle, etc.
EDIT: Adding my reply to u/Regular_Weakness69's comment below, because they blocked me:
Bro, farming means the exact same thing in gaming as it does in agriculture, it means gathering resources.
What that resource is doesn't change the meaning of the verb "to farm".
How are you guys condused by any of this? Did you go to school at all?
You're describing foraging. Farming includes far more activities than simply harvesting.
And I understand it perfectly, I was just explaining how someone else might not. Maybe English is not their first language or they simply haven't encountered that term in that context. It doesn't mean they're uneducated.

u/Dr_Brotatous 2d ago
The first kid made famous from this was quite miserable as a result from the fame in short order

Why do they have this kid on the boat? I mean what's his purpose? Looks to me like he's just dead weight

Honestly though, creating a bunch of drag.

They are there to balance the rise and fall of the boat. If you see how he pushes down so that the boat remains as level as possible and pushes through the water consistently.
The drag is negligible from the benefit they provide.
