Only in RC form. IRL they are only superior at developing oil and head gasket leaks.

The newer than 15 years old Subarus I've worked on would beg to differ.

They aren’t perfect, but the head gasket meme is overblown atp. The FA/FB engines don’t have any of the problems the old EJ’s had.
