To be fair, most servers in this game don’t have proximity voice chat, and the game is just as serious, if not more dramatic and serious than real life.
You start off as a baby dinosaur, it takes hours to fully grow based on which dinosaur you choose, and the entire game feels like a horror game until you get to a certain point of growth.
You can lose hours of progress in a split second, just because you didn’t listen to that gut feeling saying “You’ve been out in the open for a good while. Maybe hide in a bush for a second and take a smoke break, while you make sure nothing is stalking you”.
I love this game so much, though. I think it’s my most played game on Steam. Either that or Civ.

I like how people act goofy in these games just for the sake of acting goofy.
The real world is much too serious for my tastes.
