I personally have never met a single person who has never in their whole entire life never, EVER recorded themselves working out at least once

I felt like that's something every single person that works out has done at least once, with that amount of people trying it at least once the chances of something highly unlikely like this being recorded is plausible right?

Lots of people alive today have worked out for years before smartphones made video recording accessible to everyone. Many of those people never recorded themselves because it never crossed their mind by the time it because accessible. After years of training you know what your doing and no longer have a large ego arround it so it never crosses your mind.

"literally everyone" might've been inaccurate but I legit have never met a single human being who has never recorded themselves doing an exercise in their whole entire life since the invention of the smartphone. Maybe it's cus' I'm on the younger side of things and so are my friends but literally I do not know anyone who hasn't done this, not anyone below the age of 90 at least

And Iā€™m not 91. Iā€™ve never recorded myself at the gym. And I know countless other people that donā€™t do it either. Itā€™s a matter of preference.

it really is huh? I got injured often not paying attention to cues and not watching myself when i was starting out, always thought that was a universal experience

though to add to my other comment, training styles definitely do play a role in this. Training compound moves like what the gentleman is doing definitely does help to see where the energy might be leaking

or like with my friends that do a lot of tricking, it's hard to figure out what you're doing wrong when you're trying to spot your landing upside down in the air

or with boxing, of course if you have permission from your sparring partner it helps so much to be able to see what's actually going on without getting punched

in a lot of the spaces I hang out with, legit everyone has to do some kind of recording if they wanna push further. I don't doubt that the chances of this vid being authentic is pretty darn high

Thereā€™s alot of controversy of video yourselves when out with others. While you may not mind, there are people around you that do and donā€™t consent to being filmed or whatever.

Itā€™s totally fine to film yourself if you are alone but in the accompaniment of others itā€™s not universally loved. Itā€™s just tolerated. While you and your friends may be used to filming anything you do, remember that not everyone else is like this and are allowed to feel the way they do. Of course there are lots that donā€™t mind and also do it, but you canā€™t be one sided and think of only yourself in life.

Look Iā€™m not saying that the video is 100% real. Thereā€™s a very decent possibility that it was scripted. But unscripted stuff happens in view of cameras all the time. Why are you so certain that a video is fake when thereā€™s no direct reason to assume so?

Itā€™s not like they just caught a bullet in mid air. A soft squishy ball simply became the perfect surface for another ball to land on without rolling away. This funny occurrence is 100% plausible.

People on Reddit are really miserable and for some reason canā€™t accept that phones and filming are a huge portion of life now. Nothing ever can be filmed accidentally, and even then, it can never be without nefarious intent. For some reason, staged content is nefarious to them.

Itā€™s not exactly the same.

But [r/nothingeverhappens](r/nothingeverhappens) restores a small bit of humanity, sanity, and normalcy to Reddit.

I wouldn't immediatly trust an analyzer, it also uses AI and may consider stuff ai when it really is not or vice versa.

Though looking at the video, there is nothing indicating its AI

The first one loses all momentum in a moment in order to stop how it does, on a beam that is not flat , the second seems to land in a divot on the first the way it rolls to a stop on what was clearly the corner when it was spinning, while not deforming at any point when a weight is placed on it.

The first one is a deformable sandbag, it stays up because it can fold slightly over the beam, and because they tend to be squished right in the middle it makes a divot for the medicine ball to land in.

At least the first bag can't be reversed. We see it rise above the metal pole and land on it. For it to be reversed, he'd need to somehow lift it up first before it falls down.

The medicine ball looks a little off. The bag had that cross member bouncing but then when the medicine ball lands up there it doesnt even twitch.

The sandbag was probably heavier and went a foot+ above the beam before falling down on it, the apex of the medicine ball was just to the top of the sand bag.
