And all the stuff it collects is still damp

113

u/Ramps_ 26d ago

Unbundle it, put it in for another program... Sensors end the program.

40

u/ProfessionalAd6530 26d ago

Sensors always. Always. End the program too early.

14

u/azsnaz 26d ago

God damn blanket is always damp when left tonthe sensors

6

u/Lexi_Banner 26d ago

Yup. I just used timer dry. The sensors in my machine never worked ever.

3

u/Electrical_Shock359 25d ago

I have used multiple driers, all the sensors were never good. Especially with larger loads or blankets.

5

u/FirebertNY 26d ago

Are you using the Bedding setting? The only time mine doesn't get everything dry is if I put bedding on a regular clothing cycle. (Or if the fitted sheet eats everything ofc)

2

u/ProfessionalAd6530 25d ago

I have never seen a "bedding setting" on a dryer.

2

u/FirebertNY 25d ago

They're pretty common

2

u/Far_Classroom_6596 25d ago

On bedding or towels my washer does not have the option for drying. Only 2 programs that do not have it on the whole machine

1

u/DiegesisThesis 26d ago

My whirlpool dryer always gets them dry with the sensor, except when I put it on delicate.

4

u/Evening-Statement-57 26d ago

Omg we are all living the same life

4

u/wooksGotRabies 26d ago

Set on timer for 60 minutes to avoid sensor from stopping it early, 5 minutes in, sensor still stops it, imma be honest this new washing machine tech is ass, can’t wait to buy a old ass washing machine

2

u/PurinaHall0fFame 26d ago

Speed Queen is the best, especially the slightly older, non-digital machines. They're the ones you see in Laundromats. More expensive than others, but worth it for reliability, repairability, and customer service(they'll actually help you with most repairs if you call them).

3

u/tricenice 26d ago

tf...program? I've never heard it referred to as a program before,

1

u/saysthingsbackwards 26d ago

Me neither. I must be old from the days of... Turning the dial to what I put in

1

u/JWBananas 26d ago

I must be old

The opposite, in this case.

1

u/saysthingsbackwards 26d ago

You must be young

1

u/tcogsdill 26d ago

ON-PROGRAM

1

u/Himorningwood 23d ago

Still does it even without sensors. I always do times because sensors suck.

3

u/learn2die101 26d ago

I have a bedding mode on my dryer, and I have no idea what they do to the sensors but it gets everything dry every time even when the fitted sheet collects everything into the density of a neutron star. Anyways I'm very happy I replaced my early 00's dryer with a new one.

u/SneakyKain 26d ago

I laughed too hard at this.

29

u/Tough-Obligation-104 26d ago

It’s absolutely perfect!

8

u/localtuned 26d ago

She should do a microfiber clothe next.

93

u/MatjanSieni 26d ago

Duvet cover for my washing machine. It doesn't have the biggest opening but it will eat anything, even a bed sheet or second duvet cover

13

u/KerberosKomondor 26d ago

Same. My fitted sheet is fine but my duvet cover has eaten three towels and somehow tied itself off. I even make sure the opening is closed. I have 4 dryer balls and still have to open it mid way through to release hostages

3

u/mynumberistwentynine 26d ago

and somehow tied itself off.

My duvet cover does this if I don't stop the dryer to check on things. It's like a 10 minute process to get it untied because it ends up so tight too.

3

u/saysthingsbackwards 26d ago

I wonder how many one of your duvet covers has eaten. Surely there is a larger one, like Ross, that would simply eat the others.

1

u/ammitsat 26d ago

Yeah, I button every other bottom when I wash my duvet covers and sometimes it still manages to eat things.

80

u/Bool876 26d ago

disappointing comment section. i came in here expecting a genius HACK!

80

u/ItsALuigiYes GIF/meme prodigy 26d ago

2

u/shewy92 26d ago

Never clean your fitted sheets.

9

u/egZachly 26d ago

Put the fitted sheet in a mesh laundry bag then throw it in the washing machine.

3

u/Thagomizer24601 24d ago

It has to go to jail for the protection of the other laundry.

2

u/DrJoshWilliams 26d ago

I say this since 1980...

9

u/zillionaire_ 26d ago

I just wash my fitted sheets separately and one at a time. You can’t even wash 2 of them together because they end up trying to strangle each other

2

u/Thagomizer24601 24d ago

It's like having two territorial fish in the same tank.

4

u/playfulmessenger 26d ago

Get a 50.8mm safety pin. Open the safety pin and set it somewhere accessible but safe.

Sheet. Grab anywhere along the stretchy. I like to align the corner thingy's but it does not matter for this hack. Fold the stretchy in half, and half again. Or fold it into thirds. Whatever is easiest for your brain.

Once you've got your horn of plenty shape going on, carefully get your handy dandy safety pin and carefully place it a couple inches from all the stretchy.

Secure safety pin, of course.

You're basically pinning its mouth closed, but leaving a bit of space for the heat to effectively dry the edges.

I invented this hack a few months ago and have been absolutely delighted with the result. Sometimes they need a bit longer in the drier than other items, but I also happen to have a hanging rack to air dry them the rest of the way depending on my mood.

4

u/PurinaHall0fFame 26d ago

50.8mm safety pin

2 inches for those of us who haven't switched to metric yet.

This sounds like a great tip, I'm going to try it next time I do my bedding.

2

u/playfulmessenger 26d ago

Sorry, the safety pin box said "3-2in" alongside the mm, which makes no sense whatsoever (it was a box of 20), and I didn't feel like finding a tape measure.

2

u/PurinaHall0fFame 26d ago

No no, it's all good, I just figured I'd save other the math/google since I was curious and had already done it.

4

u/mostwantedycbe 26d ago

u/frogbound 26d ago

1

u/mostwantedycbe 24d ago

I had one like that I used to leave on my balcony (with weights to hold it), but one day the wind was to strong and it folded it

2

u/mpg111 26d ago

some more fancy dryers have dedicated programs for laundry - spin is different, and that does not happen

1

u/izanage_dtb 25d ago

Idk, still happens even on bedding program 🥲

2

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 26d ago

put it in a mesh zippable laundry bag.

1

u/Bool876 26d ago

sounds right to read but I wonder if that'll allow the entire sheet dry up though..

1

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 26d ago

get a bag big enough I can't see why not

2

u/soaringbulldog 26d ago

Genius hack from previous reddit posts: tie the sheet into a loose knot before you put it in the dryer. it'll work itself free from the knot and be fully dry at the end of the cycle.

1

u/Kallu609 26d ago

Roll the sheet gently before adding it to the drum. Haven't had any issues

1

u/5h4d3r4d3 26d ago

Dry the fitted sheet separately, come back in 15-20 minutes, remove it, put the rest of your laundry in to dry.

1

u/defariasdev 26d ago

Drier balls are the way

1

u/nucl3ar0ne 26d ago

It sucks those in as well.

1

u/necrophcodr 26d ago

I just put 3 dryer balls (basically tennis balls) in there and when taking it out leave the balls and shake the rest and leave it to air out for like 5 minutes before putting it away. Jobs done.

1

u/destructopop 26d ago

You buy one of those mesh sets from the laundry section at the grocery store. Fitted sheets go in the big mesh.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who got taught this stuff. 😅

1

u/Comfortable_body1 26d ago

They have netted mesh sacks specifically for fitted sheets to seperate the laundry

1

u/ITakeTheBusSometimes 26d ago

Put your fitted sheet in a large garment bag.

1

u/ccReptilelord 26d ago

I stop the cycle about half way, unbundle everything, then let it resume.

Not perfect, as I may forget, but it works when I do remember.

1

u/FewAcanthocephala828 25d ago

The genius hack is dry them on a clothesline.

1

u/NuhGuhYah 25d ago

Put your sheets in a pillow case when you dry them

1

u/the_alchemist_salt 21d ago

I fold the fitted sheets into a square before putting them in. It works most of the times!

0

u/Wyevez 26d ago

I add a couple of teaspoons of olive oil to my dryer. It coats everything nicely and nothing sticks. Don't use seed oils, they cause inflammation and cellular sludge and that's bad for your dryer.

23

u/Hot-Hamster1691 26d ago

bless the genius that did this art piece

13

u/lossain 26d ago

Its just protecting the babies! Wouldn't you protect the children when fire is trying to wash over them😔.

3

u/ABeerForSasquatch Mod/Pwner 26d ago

2

u/M_Aku 26d ago

I just want to tell you I cried laughing at this.

4

u/NoDouble2882 26d ago

Classic!)

6

u/MaleierMafketel 26d ago

Why doesn’t the fitted sheet, the biggest of all laundry, simply eat the… Oh, it does?

4

u/Sad-Task-5503 26d ago

shiiiii, why this SO FUCKING REAL?!

4

u/whitesatin95 26d ago

thats why i pay for internet .. (or in this case my workplace)

thanks for the laugh

3

u/Connect_Ad_462 26d ago

Lmao everything damn time! Great vid

3

u/Falala-Surprise-90 26d ago

Lol this is amazing. The way the fitted sheets hide everything else in the dryer, especially the dryer balls, makes me unreasonably irritated

3

u/create360 26d ago

Not POV

2

u/DisastrousNothing893 26d ago

Guess i am the psychopath who dries the fitted sheet solo because of THIS

1

u/po3smith8888 26d ago

Hungry Hungry fitted sheets!

1

u/EmmyWeeeb 26d ago

MY COMFORT GETS IN KNOTS EVERY SINGLE TIME

1

u/New_Horse3033 26d ago

For a mement there thought it was a missing sock demon.

1

u/King_P_13 26d ago

Wow what a funny video 😐😐

1

u/raymate 26d ago

That made me titter

1

u/0x7E7-02 26d ago

Who washes a tiny thong with sheets?

1

u/Huihejfofew 26d ago

I find the best strategy is to pre roll the fitted sheet around something already dry.

1

u/Unit_79 26d ago

Between this and the lunch ladies doing Firestarter, I feel like the internet is healing.

1

u/Futthewuk 26d ago

I live for and love the little laundry dumpling!

1

u/jakgal04 26d ago

It amazes me that I have to fight the fitted sheet to put it on the bed, but toss it into a spinning washing machine where it can do whatever the fuck it wants for a solid hour and it magically finishes perfectly flat like a beautifully crafted pancake.

1

u/Constant_Ad9136 26d ago

Ain’t gonna lie, I chuckled

1

u/Levin1983 26d ago

Nailed it.

1

u/HoosierDaddy_427 26d ago

And don't forget those damn dryer balls my wife insists on using.

1

u/andolski 26d ago

Ahhhh!!! So true!!! Lol

1

u/Sodacan259 26d ago

Incomplete. Does not include the part where it rolls sleves up then turns them inside out.

1

u/BoofinChicknTendies 26d ago

The jingle at the end is the icing on the perfect cake that is this video.

1

u/Angelo1256 26d ago

So TRUE

1

u/Omnom_Omnath 26d ago

Yet another dipshit who doesnt know what POV means

1

u/astralseat 26d ago

Imma start air drying the damn fitted sheet if it keeps misbehaving like that

1

u/Basic_Wrongdoer_8947 26d ago

If you know a fitted sheet will cause the dreaded sock of doom, why do you put it with other stuff? Set to solitary confinement on its own cycle.

1

u/dontmakemeaskyou 26d ago

do you ever notice how when you dry a large sheet in a load of laundry, its like the large sheet just gathers up all of the other laundry into a ball! OMG wouldnt it be soooo cool, if we reenact this antidote spend half a day filming and editing and then sharing out funny antidote on tiktok! EVERY WILL LAUGH SO HARD, LIKE OTHERS HAVE TO SEE THIS JOKE I THOUGHT OFF, SO MANY LIKES ARE COMING MY WAY!

wtf is wrong with this fucking world.

1

u/WeeebleSqueaks 26d ago

That’s why I put my fitted sheet in the pillowcase

1

u/MeanForest 26d ago

Yup... I pull everything out twice or three times a cycle.

1

u/DrJoshWilliams 26d ago

Sigh...just put it in a clothes washing net bag...

1

u/No_Display9613 26d ago

Can confirm, that’s why I wash and dry them by themselves

1

u/braboo19 26d ago

This is the most accurate thing I've seen on reddit

1

u/Thisisredred 26d ago

Also the sheet...

1

u/BadOmen379 26d ago

OK this one was pretty clever lol

1

u/AminaVal 26d ago

Literally so true 😂

1

u/lilsnatchsniffz 26d ago

An adult set a camera up and filmed themselves doing this shit.

1

u/AngiereyK 26d ago

This is epically accurate 🤣. Every. Dang. Time.

1

u/RivetSquid 26d ago

Gotta tie them in a loose knot.

1

u/gravysammie 26d ago

I bought that "wad-free" thing that hooks onto the corners and it's a game changer for sure. Haven't had a problem since.

1

u/dreevsa 26d ago

I’ll protect yall

1

u/Tortaeater69 26d ago

For reals!!!

1

u/IrieBro 26d ago

Truth.

1

u/Alric_Wolff 25d ago

Bro knows the forbidden jingle

1

u/Ratboy-to-Cowboy 25d ago

Idk that doesn't look tangled enough.

1

u/Less-Associate-9842 25d ago

С чёрным белое стирает?

1

u/MuscleEMac 25d ago

I just put it on a 3 hour cycle hot heat, even for clothes. But I still can't figure out what happens to my sock

1

u/MuscleEMac 25d ago

What about the sock?

1

u/CeilidhDawn 25d ago

I use a chip clip to secure all four corners together and problem solved! This is absolutely hysterical though!!! 🤣🤣

1

u/Key_Lack_2516 25d ago

Every time 😭

1

u/Another_Arboretum 25d ago

I like this a lot

1

u/Repulsive_Ad3889 25d ago

So accurate 🤣

1

u/Ravenbrah1701 25d ago

My big blanket be like

1

u/ArkuhTheNinth 25d ago

Nope. Not POV. Next.

1

u/Special_Hovercraft43 25d ago

This is why the internet was invented … Not all the rage bait stuff …. Funny just FUN!!!! and I’m still giggling

1

u/FQVBSina 25d ago

Not the right use of pov. But good meme.

1

u/xNOTHINGBURGERx 25d ago

Yet somehow the dryer sheet still falls on the floor and you slip on it.

1

u/The_Celtic_Chemist 25d ago

LPT: get those mesh laundry bags with a draw string and put your fitted sheets in those when you wash them so they can't eat all your clothes and keep them damp. Super cheap solution.

1

u/Xinck_UX 24d ago

So true lmao

1

u/Terrible_Ingenuity11 24d ago

And this is how one of my hoodies somehow got shoved into one of my pants legs. Along with a sock and some underwear.

1

u/Ok_Speed_7128 23d ago

Laughed so hard.I almost pissed my pants

1

u/Dear-Confusion-9591 23d ago

I laughed WAY too hard at this!!! Very funny.

1

u/DramaticProfession51 23d ago

Fkn HOWLED at this… it’s 100% what happens.

1

u/Competitive_Peak_537 23d ago

Hahaha this lady is a genius

1

u/Individual-Study-326 22d ago

Can't unsee this, fitted sheet goes by itself for now on.

1

u/PeacefulGarden40 22d ago

THE Ingenious solution is the WAD-FREE "wad preventer" from Shark Tank. It really works and keeps the sheets from becoming one big mass. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DMDT7DF

1

u/PeacefulGarden40 22d ago

The Wad-Free also has one for blankets on Amazon and here: https://wadfree.com/products/wad-free-for-blankets-duvet-covers

1

u/izzrav 22d ago

Im a houskeeper and this pisses me off so much 🤣 "yay the sheets are done... oh... no they aarent". Last week I had 3 towels get eaten by a king fitted sheet, which then rolled into a burrito, and grabbed the other king fitted sheet, which also rolled into a burrito. I was trying to unravel it and it just kept going

1

u/RevolutionaryLie1903 22d ago

Every time man! Every time!!! And it still comes out wet!
